I have discovered this morning that the TI-84 Plus SE ROM was still included on basic TI-Nspire CX OSes 3.0.1 & 3.0.2, although you have no way to start the emulator to my knowlege up to now...
But the ROM was then removed on the basic TI-Nspire CX OS 3.1.0.

Interesting :)
But I think it's probably a mistake because it would just be a waste of space if no one knows how to use it.

Oh, I thought you knew that before. :P

My guess would be that it was sheer laziness that it wasn't removed prior to 3.1.0. It's not like it was affecting functionality one way or another, just taking up space.
-
Wow interesting. I wonder if Ndless 3.1 was to ever have 3.0.2 compatibility if there would be ways to launch that emulator? My guess is that LCD issues would come in the way, though, unless it was adapted but finally never included?
In any case, though, a third-party emu would definitively be best, like what calc84maniac gave me one and half a year ago.

Wow! That is astounding! I hope more is found out about this
-
Sounds interesting! Great job! :)

So they forgot the ROM there? Oh lol. Is it the same ROM found in OS 2? And was it working on a normal 84+ emulator? This looks promising if we find a hack to get an emulator on the Nspire.
-
how do I acces my ti-nspire cx rom?
-
That's the point -- you can't, so TI probably just forgot about it.
-
I mean look at the files in my rom like (http://i43.servimg.com/u/f43/13/23/13/53/302cx810.jpg)
EDIT Nvm I opened my os and Wow! I cant believe it!

It could also be the same ROM from the non-CX OS 3.0. Also, no TI-Nspire 84+ ROMs work on a normal emulator, nor will normal 84+ ROMs work on TI's emulator. Which is really lame :P
-
Is there a downloadable TI 84 emu for the Nspire?
-
Nope. There used to be one in the works, but it got cancelled.
That reminds me, has anyone succeeded in making an Ndless program letting users use the 84+ emu still present on some TI-Nspire CX OSes? I assume such thing would require the keypad to be remapped and detected as 84+ one, right?
-
The emu is only available on the 3.0 os? If someone gives it to me :P I can start working on it.
