Well, last year OS 2.71MP almost became a reality O.O (with Boot 1.03), so maybe in a few months we'll see something like the presenter. :P

Indeed. Last year, the April Fools joke was the CAS OS running on the Nspire model sold as non-CAS ( http://tiplanet.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=115353#p115353 )... and the joke became reality :)
The core functionality of OSLauncher is five C statements, so it was not very hard, in fact.
