Title: Jacobly releases Floating Point Math Axiom
Post by: ztrumpet on October 25, 2011, 09:04:53 pm
Earlier today Omnimaga user jacobly (http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2910) released a floating point library or use with Axe.  This will be of great help to anyone who wants the speed or interface of assembly without the hassle of having to code the floating point routines themselves.  Jacobly has made a wonderful contribution to the community of all Axe coders, especially those who want *real* mathematics included in their programs.

I guess this is a good time to revive the Z80 CAS topic (http://ourl.ca/11451)? :D

That is great! One of the best things for RPGs, because otherwise when we have 9999 HP, damage formulas can be a major pita to create with atk, defense and other parameters. Even big companies games got issues with integer overflow.
