Title: June posting record broken in 666*1251 seconds
Post by: DJ Omnimaga on June 09, 2010, 03:32:43 pm
For the 5th month in a row, Omnimaga forums broke a monthly posting record over the same month of the past years. June record, which is the only record that was set in 2009, with 1649, was an easy one, though. As for June 9th 2010 (3:26 PM GMT-5), there have been over that amount of messages on the forums since June 1st 12 AM. The previous record for June was 1643 in (as you might guess) 2006.

Omnimaga has reached several levels of evilness, with over 5 members breaking the 666 posts bar in the course of a few weeks lately, as well as both main Axe Parser topics reaching 666 posts at once. TI-Boy SE main discussion also broke the 666 bar a few months ago. :P

Activity keeps on climbing, and nice to see that happening (the climbing, not the 666 posts.)
I'm still a few months away from having that many posts... :P
Also, it would be more interesting if it occurred in 666*1337 seconds.

Congrats all! ;D

You should wait for 666*1337 mark, er, record. Cool to know anyway.

It's all due to the great participation of everyone in the forum. Congratulations to everyone and to celebrate let's continue, wait, I mean, increase steadily the overall posts, progress and releases. ;)

well for that activity would have needed to be a bit slower, altough not by much, and I had to prepare to go to work ;D

And I agree with Art Of Camelot. Hopefully not too many people leave (like in 2006-07) all summer long. I also think ticalc.org will have some job to do as news editing (seeing the release of a bunch of programs such as GeoWars and that bubble game. Plus there is still xLIB/Celtic III that I think that deserves a feature, even if one was obsoleted

EDIT: lolwut? (/me points to attached pic)

lolwut?  That's a weird coincidence...

With the recant amount of awesome programs being released, I think ticalc's going to have to feature a lot of stuff soon... ;D

Interesting coincidence. Should have been a different number, though :P
Agreed. Seeing more features would be nice. ticalc's been slow lately, though they did just feature a game. Awesome programs ftw. :)

Yeah I think they were busy and stuff, which explains the lack of features in early May. Now Travis is catching up while still trying to make sure news remains long enoguh on front page, which is why he won't feature more than one program every few day. This year is sure gonna have a bigger POTY than 2009 (which already rivals 2007 in size)

Now I hope the evilness of 666 post counts is not the prelude to Halloween necroposting evilness, though :P (like what happens every year on United-TI, for some reasons)

My god!  What have we done Dj??? :O

Heh, it looks like the powers of evil are helping us reach massive amounts of posts per day :P

Yeah that too. Look at the stats lol o.O

We will most likely return to May level as July progresses and then more something like Christmas time for the beginning of August, as people will be in vacation at the same time. Fortunately there are a lot of people around so even if many leaves, there will most likely be enough to keep activity up (as long as there are projects being updated :P)

I'm still 301 posts (this post having been posted) away from being evil :P
Back to posting. I hope this activity level keeps up!

Instead of just saying 'And I helped' for the post counts, I figured a picture using that phrase would be better.

oh ok lol :P

Thanks to everyone for contributing btw ^^

I admit, I must thank mostly Quigibo for bringning us Axe Parser, Calc84maniac for keeping people interested in calc stuff with TI-Boy SE despite the Summer where a lot of people normally move on and now ExtendeD/Geogeo and everyone who contributed to Nspire ASM dev.

I also obviously thank everyone who wants to make the TI community better and stuff.
