For more than a year, you could do video conferences with other TI community members on both HCWP and its French counterpart TCAP, where you could see how some of our community members look like or their environment. However, it has come to our attention that one Omnimaga staff, leafy, found a different way to do so with Juju and former site manager DJ_O: Whenever both were hanging out in real life, he stared at some of the live webcams (http://www.ville.quebec.qc.ca/webcameras/place_dyouville.aspx) that Québec City have installed at some places, in attempt to stalk both Omnimaga resident Eastern Canadians.
He was caught doing so recently after the webcam links were leaked on IRC in late August, but apparently did not start checking them on a regular basis until he witnessed a public gathering of about 20000 people attending Quebec City's new NHL-caliber arena groundbreaking ceremonies (http://tvanouvelles.ca/lcn/artsetspectacles/general/archives/2012/09/20120904-075647.html) on Labor Day, which, seen from the webcam of the new arena site, was initially mistaken by him and some other Omnimaga members as an horde of blue lobsters and people (apparently including juju and DJ) hunting for them (http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3). After those events, he started watching the cameras most evenings and days where DJ was off from work, spying most of his moves (and Juju's). Thankfully, both stalked staff members kept their cool so no bad incident (http://img.removedfromgame.com/imgs/youvillecalc.jpg) occured.
There were clues about this happening for a while, but not enough to accuse anyone, but the staff member leafy confessed that he did it for at least one month. Per Juju and DJ request, he has promised that he would stop invading their privacy, so that DJ doesn't feel any extra burden while trying to resist being converted into a certain cartoon show that is widely popular almost exclusively among adults. It should also allow the new arena construction site webcam to load properly (for those not using Firefox, but rather Internet Explorer and a few other alternatives), so that the PETA can keep an eye on any potential lobster mistreatment (http://ourl.ca/9571) that could occur during digging, while also allowing the two Omnimaga members to do some archaeological searches for lost TI calculators and solve the mysteries of that super rare, buried Nintendo 64 cartridge of Reuben Quest, assuming one or both of our Quebecer staff can manage to sneak in the construction site.
No punishment will be given to our long contributor leafy, except that he must now stay at least two feet away from any Juju/DJ TI-84+ compatible calculators (http://ourl.ca/8539/310308).

Good news, everyone! The restraining order doesn't cover webcams, and technically, I am more than two feet away, so I can continue stalking DJ_O and Juju as I always have!

I guess I now must buy a few extra calcs to throw at webcams :P

Hahahaha where did this idea come from!

lol! I've done stuff like that before, but never to anyone i knew. I often go armchair traveling in Paris and Montreal with the use of city traffic cameras and networked security cameras with weak passwords and such. It's quite fun. The best ones you can zoom, turn on night vision, rotate/tilt/pitch and focus.
edit:
For those interested in this hobby who don't want to use it to stalk people:

Here's one from a town right down the road from me.

Hahahaha where did this idea come from!
I got it in September after me and juju went to a second Quebec Nordiques return-related activity where there are plenty of people wearing blue stuff (which reminds of nethams when seen from far away :P). At this point I discovered the city of Quebec installed 5 webcams in their city, one of which pointed at the new arena construction site and another at a very popular place where people hang out. Since the webcam links were posted on OmnomIRC, I got the stalking idea then. :P
