Title: Merry Christmas
Post by: DJ Omnimaga on December 24, 2009, 03:44:42 pm
The Omnimaga team would like to wish the community Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays, depending of what you celebrate, on what could be a record-high posting activity on a December 24th in Omnimaga history.

Yeah, I know the evils of WoW. Although I don't see what people find so interesting about it. The gameplay is horrible. And there is no real point to the game.
But yeah hopefully we don't lose anyone to anything.

Unfortunately this happened before (not on Omnimaga, though). There was a WoW craze back in 2005, several formerly active calc programmers got into it and eventually moved on from calc stuff because they were too addicted. I wonder if this couldn't be why there was such a suddent large amount of people leaving around Summer 2005 and period of inactivity not long after?

Lol@galandros' idea xD
I've about zero chance to access a comp on new year's evening. And you should mind time zones.

Btw, a late merry christmas to everyone.

Time zones...

Then we have to make a convention: just follow the forum default time-zone...

Back from vacation with family up at the lake house, we had a great time laughing at the cold as it tried to get into our warm cozy house :)

Love the new Avatar!
Well said indeed  8)

What new toys did you get may I ask?

Well i finally got around to getting Half Life and all subsequent sequels, and that has proved to be very entertaining :D.  I also got a mini-RC helicopter which is very fun to fly around, especially since we have such big rooms.  That and some new Wii games made this a pretty good haul this year :D

EDIT: and don't worry about losing me to WOW, i have a friend who plays it, and i can see it is most definitely NOT my type of game :P

Sorry. I meant sucking about working on new year eve, believe me. But it is true that there was no way to know that except the one who wrote it.
Now is edited and transparent.

Lol, I work from 10pm till 7am, so there is no way I could get off early to enjoy new years. =\ It's all good tho. At least I have a job,it''s better than being unemployed.

I agree with Art Of Camelot, providing you don't hate your job and can stand the people you work with in general. Over here part time jobs tend to have this happen less often, though, for some reasons, so over here if you have trouble at every full time job you get (like harrassment or abuse) it's better to stay unemployed to have the right for social security then once you get it you get a part time job (you cannot get social security aid if you alerady have a part time job. If you get the job afterward, you can get it and keep it as long as you don't earn over $750-ish a month)
