Unfortunately this happened before (not on Omnimaga, though). There was a WoW craze back in 2005, several formerly active calc programmers got into it and eventually moved on from calc stuff because they were too addicted. I wonder if this couldn't be why there was such a suddent large amount of people leaving around Summer 2005 and period of inactivity not long after?

Well i finally got around to getting Half Life and all subsequent sequels, and that has proved to be very entertaining :D. I also got a mini-RC helicopter which is very fun to fly around, especially since we have such big rooms. That and some new Wii games made this a pretty good haul this year :D

EDIT: and don't worry about losing me to WOW, i have a friend who plays it, and i can see it is most definitely NOT my type of game :P

Over here part time jobs tend to have this happen less often, though, for some reasons, so over here if you have trouble at every full time job you get (like harrassment or abuse) it's better to stay unemployed to have the right for social security then once you get it you get a part time job (you cannot get social security aid if you alerady have a part time job. If you get the job afterward, you can get it and keep it as long as you don't earn over $750-ish a month)
