Although Ndless 1.7 has been out for a bit, OS 1.7 will not run on any of the TI-Nspire keypads on a CAS Touchpad calculator, making using Ndless impossible on this calculator. However, bsl from United-TI has released modified versions of Ndless 1.7 for OS 1.3 and 1.4.
Although we are a bit late on news for this, you can download both versions for each OS here:
Ndless 1.3 (http://www.unitedti.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=9578) (Mirror link (http://ti.bank.free.fr/index.php?mod=archives&ac=voir&id=2092))
Ndless 1.4 (http://www.unitedti.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=9539) (Mirror link (http://ti.bank.free.fr/index.php?mod=archives&ac=voir&id=2093))
In addition to that, Goplat is still working on nspire_emu. Version 0.41 is available on United-TI here (http://www.unitedti.org/forum/index.php?app=core&module=attach§ion=attach&attach_id=3340). Levak on TI-BANK also made a version for those who don't like command line here (http://ti.bank.free.fr/index.php?mod=archives&ac=voir&id=2099).

I didn't even know those OS's existed, that's great! :D

Yep, I've been using Ndless 1.4 for about a month now. Works great, but you still need it connected to something over USB to work properly. Even though I have a non-cas, I use 1.4 because the 84+ mode is more stable. :)

I think Ndless 1.4 was updated to use the same core as Ndless 1.7/2.0, so it now does not require the USB to work. I think the latest version is on page two of the thread at UTI.

no one told me there was a ndless 1.3 :( I could have used that a looooooong time ago

Yeah unfortunately they were only posted on United-TI, which is not visited as much as here for Nspire talk nowadays. On top of that you need to sign up a new account to download them. I think ExtendeD should include them in the next Ndless release, along with 1.1 and 1.7, for those who want to use an older OS. He just have to ask bsl permission and put him in the credits.
Both are effectively based on Ndless 1.7 but I don't know if they're still up to date.

Nice, eventually we'll have Ndlesses for every OS in existence :D
And glad to know the emu got updated! Downloading...

I hate it when websites force you to register just to view or download things. There used to be a nice website called BugMeNot where people would post throwaway login/password combos for the public to use, but it's not too useful any more because every site is banned (http://www.bugmenot.com/view/unitedti.org).
DJ, since this forum doesn't seem to force registration for attachment downloads, would you mind if I create a topic here and post future releases there instead?
-
Yeah I remember a while ago someone mentionned that we could use BugMeNot to access UTI files, but it got blocked immediately, like if an UTI staff was monitoring the chat/discussion log or by pure coincidence. I'm not sure why guest downloads are disabled there because they used to not be until about early 2009. It was probably to reduce bandwidth usage or to get more members but generally it frustrates people and they don't bother.
You could maybe create a topic about the emu over here. I may eventually move it to the Major community projects section too. Keep in mind file attachments have to be under 2 megabytes, though. You could then link to the Omni attachment on your UTI topic, since it doesn't seem like we're using enough bandwidth now.

You can Download those versions for free at Ti-bank , thats fine by me.
EDIT - I will likely update Ndless 1.3 /1.4 again once ExtendeD figures out the problems with Ndless 2.0
and if they are relevent to OS1.3/1.4. They will have the same Syscalls list.
Meanwhile I have been trying to find more standard library functions, which is hard to tell between
propriety functions and standard ones.

Oh, they're on TI-BANK too? I should maybe put links to the download pages in the post above. Probably after dinner if I don't forget.
