YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! FINNALLLLLYYYYYYY! Where do I find all the doom files for the non-CX? My nspire is a non cx, so I can't put the ultimate doom or doom II on it
Wait there's a 3D graphing program for Ndless? O.o I didn't even know.Nah, he means the one built into OS 3.0
Hmm that reminds me... it would be nice if somebody made a Voxell engine for the Nspire...

By the way, is there a way to use it with OS 3.0.2 ? I think I read this somewhere...No, Ndless 3.1 works only with OS 3.1.0.392 :)
Because I use this OS and I don't want to loose the print() in Lua.Patching the 3.1.0.392 OS in RAM might do the job. Without that, print()-enabled Lua and Ndless 3.1 remain exclusive choices :)
- You are using Student Software to transfer ndless_installer-3.1.0.tco
GCC=`(which arm-elf-gcc arm-none-eabi-gcc arm-linux-gnueabi-gcc | head -1) 2>/dev/null`
withGCC=`(which arm-elf-gcc arm-elf-gcc-4.6 arm-none-eabi-gcc arm-linux-gnueabi-gcc | head -1) 2>/dev/null`
when installing arm-elf-gcc and binutils through MacPorts, it adds the version number..... is not able to install CX-OS, and TILP isn't as well.That's strange, because I used Tilp to update my CX to 3.1 and to install ndless...

Now, is it possible to install Ndless 3.1 with TILP?Yes. It has been done, AFAICT, and it would be a bug if it were impossible.
HOLY ****. Finally. Ndless is out. This is a wonderful birthday present. :):O Happy birthday!
I wonder if this is an nPlayer file or something the person is working on at the end?
Windows 98 on-calc, what? O.O
Btw just tried Ndless on my clickpad too with gbc4nspire and NESpire. Like on the CX, first install attempt crashed the Nspire, but then it froze again after reboot and then I tried installing Ndless again after pulling a battery and it worked fine on the second attampt.
Once set up, a project simply needs a 'make' to compile. This is a standard for C development.
After further investigation, this appears to be a NES ROM. Somebody thought it would be interesting to port Windows 95 interface to the NES without having anything working.I wonder if this is an nPlayer file or something the person is working on at the end?

wOw, that can't be possible Ö and it's even not win95, it's 98!!!! xp j/k, that's amazing
i think it's just an program made look like windows, as it's only 512 kb, and if iirc, it's about 10 mb, isn't it?
Has anyone else had issues with their calculator not going to sleep after ndless 3.1 was installed on the CX?Yeah, for me it's working from time to time....
I want to uninstall/reinstall to see if the problem is fixed, but I have not seen anything regarding whether the uninstall works right or not.You can uninstall Ndless safely by running ndless_resources :)
are there any libraries to communicate with external devicesUSB is not yet supported, but you can directly interact with the UART for RS232:

By sleep, do you also mean it never turns OFF by itself and won't go in standby mode anymore when not used for an extended period of time?
Welcome to the forums by the way. :)
Were you using OS 3.1 before ?
I can't be sure of what I'm going to say but maybe it is a clue : when connected to the PC, the Nspire won't turn Off automaticly (true) whereas unplugged it enters standby (IIRC).
Remeber that your Nspire (any model) can is powered by USB (you can remove the batteries/accu if you wish check).
Yes, my Nspire came preloaded with OS 3.1 as I had just purchased it recently. Just to elaborate the calculator also had absolutely no problems standing by or dimming until Ndless was installed, and reverts back to having no problems when I uninstall it.So why is it that mine works fine ???
After a week or so of use in class, it still fails to standby most of the time no matter what setting I put it on; though dimming has seemed to work consistently of late.

How can I reset the ndless.cfg.tns, because I changed gbc4touch to gbc4cx, and restarted my calculator, but when I click on game.gb.tns, it says it doesn't understand the document (maybe be different, because I freely translated it from Dutch).From what I think, the file formats and link with the actual app is hard-coded, so basically Ndless sees gbc4cx and gbc4cx2 or whatever alternate name you give it as different programs.
I changed it to the name I have for it, - GameBoy 4 CX -, but it still gives the errorHow can I reset the ndless.cfg.tns, because I changed gbc4touch to gbc4cx, and restarted my calculator, but when I click on game.gb.tns, it says it doesn't understand the document (maybe be different, because I freely translated it from Dutch).From what I think, the file formats and link with the actual app is hard-coded, so basically Ndless sees gbc4cx and gbc4cx2 or whatever alternate name you give it as different programs.
Well it might be best to rename it back to its original name (see the zip file if you forgot the exact name), becuase I don't think it's meant to be changed.Thank you for your help! I renamed it back to gbc4cx (also in the cfg) and it now works kind of. Now if I open game.gb.tns, it just starts gbc4cx. I don't know if this is the whole file association, because I thought it would open it with gbc4cx, but this is cool too ;)
Oh and welcome to the forums by the way :)
I have been trying to install ndless onto my touch pad Nspire, I have downloaded the ndless file and transferred it to my calculator, The installer isn't able to be transferred with the folder (it says some unsupported were not transferred) and when I try to move just the installer it starts to install it but then my calculator resets and the connection software says connection has been lost and to try again. When I try to transfer it from my documents to my calculator it says that it is an unsupported file and won't transfer it. Can anyone help me?To install it, you should have a folder called ndless with ndless_resources.tns and nsless.cfg.tns . Then you should just drag the ndless_installer-3.1.0 with the right extension to you calculator within the student software. It should give the message on your calculator Ndless has been installed. You can ignore error give by the student software while installing. You can test whether it works with colors.tns or particles.tns, which can be found calcbin/samples.

gbc4nspire has not yet been updated to open the .gb file clicked. nDoom, nPlayer and NESpire have.Ok, thanks for you answer!
Maintaining gbc4nspire is quite difficult since calc84maniac unfortunately lost its source code.
That wouldn't be simple at all, especially without my source code. Nobody has really attempted raw USB calc-to-calc linking with Ndless yet, either.gbc4nspire has not yet been updated to open the .gb file clicked. nDoom, nPlayer and NESpire have.Ok, thanks for you answer!

Another question: Maybe someone can make it possible to link your devices with the cable you got with the calculator. Just like with the gameboy connection cable, you would be able to eg. trade pokemon, fight eachother etc.
They can indeed do something - but they haven't done so in nearly five years, and they have consistently crossed our right to use the hardware we own the way we see fit./me sighs
They focus on teachers and test regulation authorities, not on users.
Do I need to add the sdk/bin/ to the PATH variable in win 7? (It says do that for XP, Vista, and Linux, but just making sure)Yes you have to.
If so, how?
Do I really need an RS232 adapter in order to run that hello world program?
Also, when attempting to create a makefile it says: sh: nspire-tools: command not found
$ make nspire-ld -nostdlib hello.o -o hello.elf

Here's another potential bug (or maybe it's just me?)Yes. You shouldn't use gcc libs only if you know what you're doing, because most of syscalls are already found (not all of them sadly).
When building my program in Ndless r557, the console gives me these errors:Code: [Select]In file included from main.c:4:0:

I find that "strlen" was defined in line 47 of syscalls.h. Is there a conflict between this and something already defined in gcc?
Could Ndless possibly still be having problems with global variables?I made the variables local, now the program actually runs. However, I'm still left with issues where I can't find what I'm doing wrong , like having yvel set to 128, and then y+=yvel; doing absolutely nothing :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
Can anyone help with running ultimate doom? I have ndless installed but it says file format .tns is not supported and then it restarts the calculatorEither you're trying to run one or the data files which are not executable, or Ndless didn't install properly.
Is it possible to run the Nspire CX CAS OS on the CX? If so can you please send me instructions on how to do it?No.
hello all
i tried to download Ndless v3.1 beta for OS v3.1 with TI-Nspire CX CAS but i get to an error pop pup wich says,
