nDoom has been updated to version 2.2 and now fully supports the TI-Nspire CX hardware! ;D(http://www.omnimaga.org/Themes/default/images/gpbp_arrow_up.gif)
The random bug which was randomly shifting nDoom display 16pixels to the right on the CX has been fixed! ;D(http://www.omnimaga.org/Themes/default/images/gpbp_arrow_up.gif)
This was coming from the different ARM PrimeCell PL111 LCD controller on the CX, which only supports screen buffers at a double-word aligned address (divisible by 8 ).
Now benefit from a full 320 pixels wide display on your CX! ;D
In the last version, it was possible to directly run Doom/Doom2 game WAD files from your TI-Nspire document browser. But this required the 'ndless.cfg.tns' file, which many users forget to transfer. So, nDoom now automatically creates or patches your 'ndless.cfg.tns'! ;D(http://www.omnimaga.org/Themes/default/images/gpbp_arrow_up.gif)
Just run nDoom one time and then you can directly run WAD files! ;D
Animations are now supported on the CX! ;D(http://www.omnimaga.org/Themes/default/images/gpbp_arrow_up.gif)
This includes:
- screen transitions at the start of a level :)
- the Marines taking out his weapon at the start of a level ;)
- end of episode / end of game screens with text appearing like typed on a typewriter machine and scrolling :D
Original code from Mrakoplatz was using the 2nd TI-Nspire timer, which is completely different on the TI-Nspire CX. So in my original port, such specific code was just ignored on the CX: screen transitions were allmost skipped, and end of episode / end of game screens were frozen.
With such animations now supported, nDoom is getting a more and more accurate port on your TI-Nspire CX! ;D
Just enjoy:

Nice! Looking at the video I just realized really how fast the Nspire CX is, compared to the Prizm's Doom(although I haven't seen a video with the updated Doom for the Prizm.)
-
Nice! Can't wait to try this out! :)

It's finally happening... yay... :D

How can me input cheat codes such as"iddqd"?
-
For the moment, you can't.
But you can start the game at whichever map you want, and you can save and load your progression whenever you want :)

You can now try the new nDoom 3.0 alpha 1:
http://tiplanet.org/forum/archives_voir.php?id=6631
New: 'alpha' support for Heretic WAD files and compatible.
(http://tiplanet.org/forum/gallery/image.php?mode=medium&album_id=13&image_id=1224) (http://tiplanet.org/forum/gallery/image_page.php?album_id=13&image_id=1224)
Note: the Heretic game from Raven Software has been built on a similar but heavily customized Doom engine.
Which means I have to adapt allmost everything to be able to open Heretic maps and keep Doom/Doom2 maps compatibility.

Wow that's amazing. :D

Updated to nDoom 3.0 alpha 2:
http://tiplanet.org/forum/archives_voir.php?id=6631
I improved Heretic support, and I hope I didn't break anything.
Non-Heretic games behaviour should be unchanged - feel free to test and help me. :)
You can now:
- open most levels in heretic.wad from all 6 episodes
- show the map
- pick up items (still invisble for now)
-
So I just found this,HOT DAMM. And I thought ncraft was top notch(get it?) nspire graphics. You are obviously a wizard if you managed to do this.

Thanks - unfortunately I'm cruelly missing time to go on working on Heretic-like maps support for now.
