The tides of the St. Lawrence river are getting troubled by the annual infestation of blue lobsters, causing several side effects akin to the Poison Joke from the My Little Pony series: Juju's hair getting blue, blue_bear_94 speaking a previously unknown language and Sorunome having derpy eyes, among other things.

That is, it's been 12 years ago today DJ Omnimaga founded the Omnimaga team. To commemorate the event, join us on IRC (irc.efnet.org #omnimaga) or OmnomIRC (if you have access to it) for special animation throughout the day!

Happy 12th anniversary and long live Omnimaga!

EDIT: We had an Omnimaga Story, as in a bot on IRC spitting a line of story every 15 minutes. Here's the transcript, text by Juju and bot by Sorunome:

Gaming all day long
And programming the greatest calculator games there ever was
Monsters and protagonists everywhere, that's how they defined and
Established the legend that is Omnimaga. Happy 12th birthday Omnimaga!

If you meant TI-Bank, yeah it's pretty old, but I was there when TI-Planet splitted off it.

Nope, especially considering back when the Invisionfree forums started, there were already two big established TI forums out there and I especially didn't expect Omni to ever reach activity levels as seen in late 2010 and most of 2011. Of course we have to thanks the many members who participated over the years, though, and the people who contributed many great programs and games for the calculator community in its entirety.

Anyway I'm glad Omni is still around 12 years after it started and that this incarnation of the site is still running after the August 2008 reboot. Hopefully I will make some tribute video for the 15th anniversary like I did for the 10th one. :P For now, however, there is always this video I uploaded on OmnimagaTV a few months ago:

Although it's young, it features many content (by Critor and other members of the team) from 2008-11 as well, since the site is a result of a split (and the leaving team members brought their entire contributions with them). We could almost say that TI-Planet is 6 years old in some ways, although yeah it's technically 2 years old.

That's some very nice stories there to celebrate the 12th Anniversary. I'd forgotten it was September 1.
