Title: Omnimaga Contest 2011 Part 2 results

The contest Part 2 results are in! The voting and judging part (http://ourl.ca/12565) ended last night: 36 members voted and yunhua98 and t0xic_kitt3n judged the entries in 15 days. The votes counts for 100 points while the judges count for 200 points, for a total of 300 points (same ratio as Part 1). The winner gets $100 (about 70€) in gift cards for the online store(s) of his choice. Without further ado, here's the long-awaited results.

I hope that coding it in 4 days (2 + 2 debugging/features days) didn't discouraged anyone :)

Congrats to Levak and the ppl who participated! Personally I voted Nyan Cat, not because of the Internet meme reference (In fact I hadly care about nyan cat since I'm more from the rickroll/AYBABTU/game era) but because I'm a lot into real time games like this and it had the best graphics in general for me. However I tried all other entries and they were pretty nice. One thing I admit, though, is that I'm not really into card games, so since that might have influenced my choice a bit, the fact that almost every entry were card games narrowed down my choice a lot :P

Yep, Nyan Cat actually was a really fun game :) I think it had the best graphics of all the entries, though some of he card games had really nice sprites as well.

Too bad my BreakOut game wasn't ready, indeed.
But I really was stupid when I even thought about entering that ImprovedSoloPong alpha version. Lesson learned for me.

Ouch, last place by the judges feels a bit bad, but my game was all about being addictive and fun, not about the graphics or "shinyness". It's the kind of game everybody in my school enjoys, beating each other's highscores, in a simple game that everybody fancies.

However, I must congratulate Levak, for a great game and all the others too, but mainly Deep Thought and Jim Bauwens. :D

I actually liked your game.  But I get tired of these kinds after a while, and the graphics are a bit choppy.  ;)

My initial project was a bomberdude clone, but I didn't have so much time, needed to work at my home.
Then a week before the end I decided to join the contest anyway, and made klondike.
