oh boy, let us hope ti does not blame tnoc and ndless for destroying the calc when someone has their calc bricked.... :/
They already did before, except afterward they finally realized it was their fault.

This is quite strange. As others have asked, I too am curious as to if they implemented bug fixes or not. If so, why didn't they update the version number?

They wouldn't update the version number because they want to erase the trace of their mistake bu overwriting it

I think if they applied bug fixes but failed to update the version number it would just be an oversight on their part. They have fixed issues in the past and updated the version number (if i remember correctly). Although I suppose what you suggest is a possibility, it would be rather silly of them. My biggest concern is that they just put the faulty OS back up. D:

These files are identical to the ones downloaded ~5 weeks ago.

So they are the same? This was my fear. I can't imagine what they are thinking. Boot 2 is still identical as well?

I did file-level comparison on the TNO/TNC files, and `diff -q` didn't produce any output, while it would if the files had been different.

So it's exactly the same file ... what the heck.

Maybe they decided it wasn't their fault after all? :P

Well, they can have put back those files of the faulty OS 3.0.1 so that documents which were already locked on OS 3.0 level can be used on machines not upgraded yet.

Maybe it was accidentally put back up. I doubt TI would risk a lawsuit by putting it up again

Anyway, people aren't going to download it if they don't link to it. Your average student/teacher doesn't try to guess URLs for a OS that nobody wants :P

Maybe they put the "old"(unchanged version) back up, so people will start downloading it again. Then when nobody's is expecting something and are downloading it constantly, they make a little update without announcing it...
TI is capable of doing that.
