PindurTI: a TI-82, 83 and 83+ emulator in the work
« on: July 20, 2005, 02:57:00 am »
PindurTI is a native win32 emulator for the 82/83/83+, still under development by Patai Gergely.

So far the TI-82 and TI-83 emulation should work pretty good, not to mention look exactly like on calc. It also supports the TI-83+ but the author is having some problems with the EEPROM. However it is alerady the best TI-83+ emulator avaliable out here because it supports the Flash ROM and emulate the hardware almost perfectly, unlike all others emulators. The only things that seems to need to be fixed or implemented so far are the inablility to send Flash APPs to the emulator when using ROM version higher than 1.12 and the EEPROM and port stuff. PindurTI can also emulate two calculators at once and can establish connection between each others. Also LCD emulation is very smooth, the emulator run pretty fast even on a Pentium 166 MHz and it has lot of cool features, like a built-in animated screen capture program and warp mode (this features makes the emulator run as fast as your computer can handle).

You can download it in the archives http://s7.invisionfree.com/Omnimaga/index.php?showtopic=633 However since the author update it regulary I would recommend downloading the emulator http://www.hszk.bme.hu/~pg429/pindurti/ because the version at Omnimaga might not be updated as soon as a new version come out. I added it here in case his website goes down or get deleted for some reason.

You can read the 664 posts long PindurTI topic at MaxCoderz forums http://joepnet.com/hosted/maxcoderz/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=412.

I dunno if this will ever happen, but it would be cool. I think it wopuld involve in more hardware documentation finding for CoBB, Kalimero, Jim e and all others experienced in ASM helping CoBB for the emu because the 83+SE, 84+ and 84+SE has 96 KB of unused RAM and faster processor. Also the 84+ has USB port

TILem has a windows port, and supports the 83+ with flash support, and the 83+SE, 84+, and the 84+SE.
