I am between these:
Benumbered
Devrays
Exodus
Obliterate
Zedd

I know, I narrowed it down, right XD
The best part is that Grammer is really the weakest contender which means that if Grammer is good, the rest are absolutely freaking amazing O.O

The only one of these I've ever used was Zedd.

Then you really should give them all a try!  They are most excellent :D

If you're asking me, I didn't choose any of those. :P

Wow I didn't realize there were so many Omni programs this year.

This definitively seems like an hard choice this year because all 8 entries are awesome. Had I still gotten a ticalc.org account, I think my vote would have went towards the first online gaming compatible calculator game ever released (Obliterate) or Grammer, though. Good luck to everyone!

EDIT: Also I wish DCS7 came out one year later...

I voted for Zedd. Not that the other entries were bad, I just think Zedd is the most useful to me.

Oh my, this is so hard! Next year's POTY will maybe be some easier (just choosing between either Graviter or Portal).
I dont know what I have to choose from Exodus, Zedd, Devrays or Grammer... D:

I am still caught between Benumbered, Exodus, and Zedd D:
Well, as much as Benumbered seems like a fun game and as great as the speed and graphics are, I think I can narrow it down to Exodus and Zedd.

It didn't win Poty yet.

Also, It looks like a tough choice. Actually there might be a tie.
Overall very exciting. Good!

Don't be so hard on yourself. You've done great with Grammer, and it has every right to be there! =)

Good luck to everyone and their amazing entries! =)

With all the amazing people in our community, I doubt next year will be any easier. I'm sure there will be just as many or more equally amazing programs coming out next year.

 I have voted. O.O I went with...
Exodus O.O I finally decided to put the programs on my actual calc to test and Exodus was awesome! I hold great respect for somebody that can create BASIC programs that well. And it is tiny compared to what I would expect!

Hm, it really is too bad Portal Prelude didn't come out in time, cause a release is imminent. Next year, maybe.

Of course Portal Prelude will be candidate for the POTY 2012. Also, I voted for Zedd.

Also on a semi bad note I just realized Kerm is facing the same issue I've faced during POTY 2005: While he'll receive a lots of vote for innovation in his two files, the fact he has multiple POTY entries will split votes between both of them, especially if people vote for the online factor, which is the main feature of both softwares, reducing his chances of winning by half. :( (In 2005, I had 3 POTY files including the two Reuben Quest games and XXR. XXR finished 3rd). Thankfully, though, he had entries in multiple categories, so that might help.

POTY for 68k(Only the 89 actually) has begun!
You only have 2 options:
Trapped or Myst.
Title: Re: POTY 2011 open!

Wow, are you featured?
Title: Re: POTY 2011 open!
Post by: DJ Omnimaga on December 08, 2011, 02:48:52 pm
Good luck to those who got featured!

Also the small amount of entries for 68K calcs this year definitively shows the 68K community had an hard time to pick up again despite the rebound that followed the 2007-08 lull.

Go Trapped (and good luck Stefan!) :)

It looked really great, so I think it really deserves it. :)
Also now that I see you online, could you tell what append to your online sprite editor? It's down. :(
Title: Re: POTY 2011 open!
Post by: TIfanx1999 on December 11, 2011, 08:44:38 pm
I was surprised at the lack of entries for 68k this year. Usually TI-freakware has at least 2; One from Ranman and one(or two sometimes O.O) from Lachprog. There are usually a few entries from our French users as well. Quiet year for 68k, hopefully it will be busier next year. Good luck to Stefan and apcalc! =)

Thanks. :) The Atools got reset by my old hoster, since I didn't use the hoster for 3 months.
I'm going to try my best to find a copy of my sources.

Title: Re: POTY 2011 open!

I think the currently released version might not get as many votes as we expect. A lot of people come to ticalc.org only to get good looking games for their calc and if they see nDoom they'll expect it to be looking as good as the original Doom, but the truth is that it's very blurry with the old LCD and just because of that and because of the crashes, I think some people will not vote for it. I personally probably would, though, because it's really great and the screen blur isn't the author fault.
