A new solitaire game for the TI-89...
Pyramid Solitaire
Pairs of cards can be removed if their values total 13. In this game, Jacks are valued at 11, Queens at 12, and Kings at 13. Thus, kings can be removed immediately. Cards must not be covered. Thus when an Ace rests on a Queen, that Queen can not be removed. When going through the draw pile, the cards are drawn one at a time with a selectable number of rotations. To win, remove all the cards from the pyramid pile.

Wow! That looks great! It is nice to see some new 89 stuff these days! Great job! :D
-
Wow looks great! I hope this gets featured on ticalc.org. I'm glad to see the 68K scene is still alive and that you still do some games every now and then too :)
-
Looks cool! I've even played that game before. :)
-
Thanks gents! :)
-
That reminds me, since Omnimaga now covers calc gaming news rather than just RPGs and our own stuff, I did a little topic move. :)
-
This looks great! I really wish I had an 89....
-
Thats amazing! Glad the 68k community is coming back. :)
-
You did a great job, and pyramid is one of my favorite solitare games
-
Congratulations :)
yunhua98: several new games and programs do not equal a comeback of the TI-68k community ;)
-
Oh I think he really meant in terms of 68K releases. If you compare the 2007 and 2008 POTYs with 2009 and 2010 there have been a bit more 68K features in the past 2 years. The increase is much less signifiant than it was with z80 and Nspire stuff, though.

I need to scrounge through my Intellivision and Commodore 64 collections to see if I want to pursue a remake of another classic... Nothing on the scale of Ultima V though -- that was pure craziness.
Again... thanks for all of the compliments!
hmmm... maybe Jumpman. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jumpman (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jumpman)

That would be cool!
Btw are you uploading this game to ticalc.org? I am sure this could probably be featured :)
-
That's really cool. Nice job Ranman! ;D
-
cool!
it's nice to see someone is working on 89
-
A jumpman port would be cool. It reminds me a bit of Donkey Kong from 1981
-
Nice work Ranman, all I need now is freecell and I'll almost have no need for my 86.

Actually, the main character in Donkey Kong was named Jumpman, hehe. Then it got changed to Mario after Mario Bros came out, I guess
-
Yeah I know. Apparently this was even a coincidence
-
Nice work! :D But unfortunately I don't own an 89.

They named him Mario because after the original Donkey Kong came out, someone said that the character looked like the mayor of (I think) Seattle, who's first name was Mario. ;D
-
I thought Mario was an italian plumber? :P

The plumber part came from Mario Bros. and I'm not sure on the Italian part. :)
-
I think it had to do with how he said mamma mia and stuff like that, plus his name
-
Alright another great looking 68k game. I cant wait to check it out. I would also love a jumpman port or really just a port of any classic.
-
Here is a sample of Jumpman... Specifically Jumpman Jr.
-
lol that's awesome :D
-
Looks nice. It seems very hard tho XD
-
I had a working version of the first 4 levels of Jumpman for the TI-89 back in 1998. TIGCC wasn't around then... so it was pure 68K ASM.
Wonder if I can find that source code.

Oh wow that would be nice if you could continue from it ;D
