A few years after arriving on 68K calculators, Game Boy emulation is finally arriving on z80 calculators, specifically the 15 MHz models in the TI-83 Plus series (Silver Editions and TI-84. Not TI-Nspire, though). Calc84maniac has released an alpha version of his Game Boy emulator, TI-Boy SE, on Ticalc.org (http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/419/41990.html). Currently, a few games seems to work pretty well and some are getting close.

The emulator has various functions, such as:
-50%, 75% and 100% zoom, to accomodate the smaller TI-84+ screen
-Grayscale (can be turned off)
-Sound (requires old Xbox headphones or an adapter with regular headphones. Sound can be turned off, too)
-Saving (in appvar form, with the option of archiving them on exit, by using a certain key combination)
-Sprite tracking mode, so while playing in 75% and 100% zoom modes, your playable character stays in the screen without having to constantly shift the screen manually using calc keypad.
-And more!
Because of the calculator platform limitations, games runs considerably slower from time to time, but most remains playable and some runs much faster than others.
File has been added to our site archives, altough it links to the ticalc.org file info page, since it is still in early stages and might be updated again in the near future. Remember, however, that distributing copyrighted games ROMs and calculator ROMs is illegal and against our forum rules, so please do not ask or distribute any on our board. Use Google for that.

Umm, would like to note that the sound can be turned on, but not turned back off, as of yet, from what calc told me. Just thought you would like to know ^^
And I am going to try to do a movie of Zelda playing with my MP3 speaker system I have, because it sounds like epic win. Will post that, probably set up a youtube account or something once I get it completed.

Yeah I noticed the sound bug, hopefully next version might fix it.
I wonder if it would be possible to make it compatible with the older builds of Wabbitemu?

Well the name is rather weird as forum nickname x.x
Generally, only 1 or 2 e's are used together in english, so people habit will always be to say eems instead. I myself am certain I did that at least twice before. However, on IRC, with the TAB key, it completes your nickname automatically if I only press E so it's not a problem.
It's a bit like my last name. Nobody can spell it right

lol, mine too, for some reason van Diepen is really hard to spell

I think it's because mine is only common in Quebec and France, except that in France it's Ouellette instead of Ouellet, most of the time. Also sometimes people think Nitacku is my brother when he says his last name, because it's so similar. I assume yours is dutch, right?

yep, as dutch as they come :) van Diepen is the most common dutch name out there
