Title: Service migration
Post by: Sorunome on June 28, 2016, 03:06:22 pm
Due to our provider (Ubiquity (http://ubiquityhosting.com/)) being sold to LeaseWeb (https://www.leaseweb.com/) we have to migrate all of omnimaga and it's services to a new server within about a month and a half. Because of this there might be some short service outages occasionally, we are doing our best to keep these to a minimum. You can find a roadmap below:
Omnimaga Server:

Eeems.ca Server (also hosts some services):

Not-so urgent things

Update: The old servers are already offline, we are only running on the new servers now. Seems like everything went by smoothly!

Thank you Sorunome for taking on the migration for us.
I'm kinda swamped with work/wedding/house things right now otherwise I'd be doing it.

This post should be on the new server. If so, then the switching just went super-smooth!

Edit: It is! Hurray!

When I tried to thumbs up your post, I got this message:
Database Error
Field 'is_read' doesn't have a default value
File: /var/www/www.omnimaga.org/Sources/Karma.php
Line: 276

Note: It appears that your database may require an upgrade. Your forum's files are currently at version SMF 2.0.11, while your database is at version 2.0.7. The above error might possibly go away if you execute the latest version of upgrade.php.

Looks like a few things may still be not working, but overall it looks like we are good.

Thanks for the bug report, it's fixed!

As, due to whatever reason, while the migrating tapatalk posting stopped working I took my time to make Omnimagas theme responsive so that you can view&post easily on omnimaga from your shiny little mobile devices.

I do plan to look into tapatalk eventually, though :P

It was kinda nice for push notifications....
I'm still waiting on features to be properly implemented to keep working on smf-mobile.

They should still be working, you just can't post there for whatever reason

Push notifications still work, being able to view what posts are unread and to actually post don't though.
Better then nothing.

Where did we move to?

We just had to move because of internal structuring as Ubiquity was bought by LeaseWeb, so yeah, we are with LeaseWeb now ( https://www.leaseweb.com/ )
