Title: Super Mario 68k

Lachprog, one of TI-Freakware's current 68k programmers, is remaking Super Marion 3 for the 89. There has been a couple demos of the game, and there are some really sweet screen shots available here. He wants all to try this amazing project, and let him know of any bugs that are found on the forum, link on his project page.

He would greatly appreciate any feed back on the forum, by clicking the forum link on the above page. After you see some of the screenshots, you will feel like he needs them. :D

this sound like a great project, the demo was a bit buggy but the final version should be fine. Now I wish even more I ahd a 89  (thank god the smileys still works) :cry:

You should play the game, the scrolling background is oh so cool!! :D

@cdi, this isn't just another mario game, no one has made this version of the game, to my knowledge. You really should just try it.

I'm not sure if I could ever remake a game like Super Mario... Where would you find all of the data for every "secret" item and special power-ups? That is a big task. Keep up the good work!

He is mainly building the game, we have to help him make sure he gets all the secreets. :)

He told me that there will be two versions, one with the map, like the original game, and the other where you just go from one level directly to another.

i remember I found a hacked SMB3 rum (notice spelling mistake) with green notes that allowed you to bounce left or right as well, no t only up and down

68k refers to the 89 and up calcs. And z80 is for the 86 and lower calcs. It's their processor which I am refering to though.

well, it seems to me that z80 programmers push the limits real far on the processor.  I duno about 68k programmers because I haven't been around very long.

Go around on ticalc and look at some of the screen shots for the 89 assembly games. You will be quite shocked... Or look at a site called Time to Team (Look in the links section, I know it is here...) Their games are jaw dropping...

Yeah, this mario game is probably even gonna beat sonic misadventure. \o/ I can't wait for this one to come out- undoubtedly the awesomest mario clone for calculators in existence! :D

I remember this game. I saw it on tinews.net.
Can't wait for full version (although it is going to probably take quite a chunk of memory)

Yeah, cpanel sometimes changes .zip into .ZIP, this was fixed. :)
