Title: The 1st real 3D game on TI-Nspire CX
Post by: critor on December 05, 2011, 04:46:28 pm
Thanks to color, the first real 3D game has finally appeared on the TI-Nspire CX.

What? 3D games allready existed?
No... I'm talking of real 3D, like this:

Does this require Ndless? :O
And do you think real 3D glasses will work?

I'm wondering that too... Lua isn't that fast...

does it really work? i've put it on my nspire, and i played it, which was quite weird right now since i don't have such glasses...

I just tryed it with those glasses on the computer software... It's an eye killer as expected and I didn't saw that plane pic anywhere. If you have already experienced e.g. a movie with that kind of glasses... That's it.

Anyway that's a good jod and I do see some work in here, but I would prefer a not 3D version.
And it's great that they could manage this to be shown in 3D.

Sugestion: maybe the background should move while we press the arrow keys...

This is awesome. It was only a matter of time before this happens. The only disappointment I had was that the background when moving to aim at enemies didn't move at all and the enemy sprites lacked any 3D, but otherwise it still shows it's possible.

Hi everyone!
Thank you for your nice comments, I have noted your suggestions and I have just finished the movement of the background in the LUA prgm
I'm working on new designs and new images (such as different sets).
Anyway what's cool is that it's going to give cool stuff to do on cx
 (sorry for my English)

I was just about to ask "Wait, aren't there 3D calculator games already?" Then I saw the photo. So it's actual-actual 3D, but not quite actual-actual-actual 3D O.O

Heya nice to see you here linkwebmaster. :D I hope you stop by again soon and show us what you're working on :D

Also one thing I wonder: I can't imagine the face of a parent or teacher if he catch a student wearing 3D glasses while holding his calc...

What if they had math solving things with unneccesary 3d.

Fun!

Do you imagine studying functions with a true 3D stereoscopic display, and gesture recognition, just like in this video (Provided by TI) :
&feature=channel_video_title

It would be awesome!

I think TI should really consider the idea of (at least) an autostereoscopic display. It has an huge potential.
