Now to actually add my thoughts on this.

This really stinks and i feel sorry for people like mic when stuff like this happens. it is like the whole world is getting shoved on there shoulders and they just crack.

i hope he can stand his ground though ti-bank is a invaluable website for the community it would really stink to see it die

One big issue is that since TI-BANK are the first site to report on calc news all the time, they're the ones receiving most of the crap when it comes to anti-calc development matters.

On the english side it's Ticalc.org, although we do not hear as much about stuff, since they're not very active these days.

Sigh.... This world is going mad... You really can't deny that. Companies that we have looked to... Sony, and now TI (not quite as bad as Sony)...
IMO, TI is actually worse than Sony... The PS3 is still good for playing games (well, not now that PSN is down, but usually) but the Nspire is just crap.

Didn't Sony try to send C&D to jailbreaking software makers though?

Yeah, and TI tried to send DMCA notices when we hosted the signing keys. What Sony did was worse, though...

Since I don't know french I don't visit TI-bank. Sometimes i give it a little peek though. But after all his contributions and such, this is very sad. But I must say that I understand Mic.
If he really wants to quit maybe he could let someone else take over. And then maybe, when things go a little better return?
This is sad, and I wish him good luck with everything.

I have primitive french knowledge, I mainly like the old OS downloads though. Better back 'em up!

Quote from: Mic, poorly translated by Juju
Well, it was much too far, I was denounced by Univers TI-Nspire on my comments misconstrued (an outright accusation) and it wound up my direct professional hierarchy today.
I am personally attacked (only in order to discredit me and undermine the existence of the site viscerally envied by TI and Univers-TI) and I will never accept that.

I will make an announcement this evening to inform you of my decision.

Seems some people hates Mic and Ti-Bank :(

Remember the day the walrus started to fly...

I finally cleared my sig after 4 years you're happy now?

Yeah I saw and this is not the first time

We had a similar issue during a few months with some people from another IRC channel and someone from another, and I can tell you reading some comments that were said was disgusting, considering the hard work that was put into Omni. The main issue those few people had was that we were different from them and they wouldn't accept that. I do not name them because those people are big third-party calculator development supporters like us, unlike people on UTNS and the Google Group, but TI-BANK faces a similar issue right now, and I can see where Mic is coming from. It is no wonder that some TI-BANK contributors may have reacted harshly to some of the comments on UTNS/UTIN. The worst part now is that those people are attacking his job too. I wish Mic the best for his job and I hope he sticks around the community no matter what.

BTW The topic linked to in the news article was moved in the TI-BANK staff forum, so no one here can see it anymore. Mic also posted a similar message as above on UTIN/UTNS, but it was removed/hidden too.

It's ok now.
http://ti.bank.free.fr/index.php?mod=news&ac=commentaires&id=1097

I just became the new TI-Bank administrator.
(the site is now too huge for a single "human")

Don't worry, I don't intend to close it, and hope we will go on working together, as Omnimaga is great too.

Good news!

I updated the news above with the info. Congrats to Critor for being admin. I wish the best of luck to you, Mic and the other TI-BANK staff. Hopefully TI-BANK can continue for many more years :D

It will be weird though to see your nickname in pink color on TI-BANK O.O
