Those who have visited the forums probably noticed that Hoffa was working on a turn-based strategy game in Lua for the TI-Nspire CX. It was submitted for TI-Planet's (http://tiplanet.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=8225) and Inspired-Lua (http://www.inspired-lua.org/?p=259) programming contest but was not available for download yet, unlike the other files.
Today, the game finally arrives on your CX!

This game shows more of the potential of the Lua language on the CX by using great looking images and graphics, along with entire tilemaps like we've seen in Bobby Carrot a few months ago. The style is kinda similar to Advance Wars but also other '90s strategy games of this tactical genre. However it is not finished yet, so there might be some bugs. We wish good luck for the author on this project and hope to see it finished in the near future!

Perfect use of the CX's beautiful graphics. It looks about as beautiful as any game I've ever seen on any platform :)

I can't begin to describe how wonderful this game is. Why buy a game boy advance?

Great job Hoffa and congrats with the news article. :)
-
this does look fantastic =D
the colour scheming in particular is something that stood out. none of the screens or menus overly abuse the colour screen, but the colour still plays a vital role. i love it!

This looks amazing, like those web-browser real time strategy games!

I think he means flash games or something.
The graphics in this are extraordinary. This is just the beginning of utilising the TI-nspire's high resolution screen. Who know's what's next?
PS: Will this work for greyscale at all? or will there be some error when it is run?
Oh, I lost the Game countless times.

so the next step: StarCraft on nspire. :D
