Despite of the poor participation for the latest poll (http://ourl.ca/2919), it seems the people who voted are mostly in favor of the revival of the old "Featured Calculator RPG Projects" section, only for active members.

After Omnimaga website shutted down before Christmas 2004 due to hosting problems and me not having any internet access to find it a new hosting, I worked on the site and added a featured calculator RPG projects page for the 3rd version of the static, HTML site that eventually made it online on February 1st 2005. In this page you would see a list of the currently active RPG projects for TI, Casio and HP calculators with the author, a short description, its developpement status, updated most weeks, and a link to the source or discussion, if avaliable. When Omnimaga moved from static HTML to a dynamic forum-based site in May 2005, each projects were given a topic. As the site made a transition towards its own discussion board, it finally became possible to discuss each projects directly on Omnimaga and the author could even come to discuss over here. A short while before Omnimaga second programming team opened in December 05, forum activity started skyrocketing, going from an average of 20 posts per day to 60 when the second team started up (to eventually hit 250 twice) and because at the time our projects section had its entire sub-division, it became harder to notice the RPG projects section and requests for sub-forums rose. Eventually the RPG section allowed projects with a minimum of 50 posts to have their own sub-forum, like Omnimaga staff projects and this last one was moved into a sub-forum below. However, with most community RPG projects updates becoming sporadic or nonexistent, it became impossible anymore to maintain the "single topics" projects part of the section, having to re-add ones from projects that were dead for almost one year and mass-delete dead ones, to the point where we decided to make the section only have sub-forums. But then a lot of members who had one became staff, leaving the section nearly empty and it was eventually shut down in fall 2007 after one year of RPG projects inactivity.
Because in September 2008 Omnimaga reopening was still known by only a few people and because there were only two RPGs under developpement in the TI community (Robot War and Zelda), both being from members who never posted on Omnimaga, I decided to not bring back the section. However, during the following month there seemed to be a regain in interest toward calculator RPG programming and a poll was started about the possible revival of this section. Due to the results, it looks like we are going to go with the sub-forum only format, featuring projects only by registered forum members. There are currently three potential projects planned, but the section will not re-open until at least two of them shows signifiant signs of life.
