French people should rejoice: OmnomIRC now allows you to use the French chatroom #Omnimaga-Fr again. It used to be available on OmnomIRC v1.0, but when the shoutbox was rewritten, features went missing for a few months, including multi-channel support.
In addition to that, a few other channels were added to OmnomIRC. First of all, there is #Omnimaga-Spam, to satisfy the need of certain people around here to talk about USB catgirls and trolling Netham45 despite his contributions to Omnimaga <_<. Besides that there's a channel that is only visible to forum moderators, there's an #Omnimaga-Radio channel, where it shows what song or DJ mix is currently playing on http://radio.57o9.org and finally, it is possible, via the OmnomIRC options, to enable a few third-party IRC channel (currently Lua and PRIZM channels) that are managed by other people in the community that are relevant to specific calculator topics. Keep in mind that third-party channels are not maintained by Omnimaga team, though, and if anything wrong happens there, we will not hold responsible. Also while the Spam channel has no rules regarding spam, remember that rules about adult warez, trolling and the like still applies there.
Also a few glitches were fixed as well and it is now possible for the staff to do some maintenance on the bot, for example when it stops sending lines to IRC.
We would like to thank Netham45 for his hard work on the shoutbox!
UPDATE (Netham45) (6/17): The Omnimaga-Spam channel -IS- there, but it isn't for random pointless spamming. If people keep abusing it to flood, it will be removed.

1) Timestamps now show localized time (timezone difference, and AM/PM, if applicable)
2) IE support fixed(IE9 Only, IE8 and lower still not supported)
3) OmnomIRC now supports its own seperate-from-IRC channels. /join @chan and /part @chan to manage them
4) Various bugfixes and code-robustness fixes
5) UTF-8 support added

If anyone has any other suggestions for community chans (looking for existing ones, not that interested in making new ones just to populate the chan list), I'm all ears, too.

Well #IRP ( on both efnet and omninet ) is the official withg.us.to channel. I usually idle in there more since it's more one on one with a few people :P
But yeah I think that would be a good one to have, so we can keep most Withg discussion on there instead of the main channel.

I wanted to see if Omnimaga-FR worked so I clicked it, but then It said :"OmnomIRC is disabled. Click here to enable.". So I did, but it stays the same. So ATM I can't see anything on omnomIRC. :(

clear your cache and refresh ( try a ctrl-f5 first though )

I tried refreshing and deleting my cache. It didn't help.

Try deleting your cookies. I redid how part of the cookies are stored.

Is it multi-network? So you can add channels on OmniNet?

One worry I have, though, is how messy it will look on low resolutions when joining 80 channels O.O

Nah, I can just make that span a div with a width of 98%, and make it scroll on either side.

Indeed, I also like the Private Messages a lot, but I wish we could see what we said to other people using private messages :)

When I PM someone using OmnomIRC I can't see in the messages what I said.
And I mean PM by "/msg <User> <Message>".

Perhaps if the spam channel isn't intended for actual spam, it should be renamed appropriately? Something along the lines of "offtopic", "misc". "other", "casual" perhaps?

Indeed. It existed for months, but it was kinda ignored until OmnomIRC added it. In other words, USB catgirls can be discussed there and it makes discussing serious stuff easier in #omnimaga. :P

Oh good. Now I can stop pretending to be helpful! j\k, But I've come across so few instances in #omnimaga where I could actually help, it's great to have a place where I don't have to be useful :)

Actually you are often constructive when you post on forums and stuff, it's just that sometimes when a serious discussion occurs, especially when BrandonW helps someone with z80 assembly, and suddently the discussion is interrupted with catgirl talk every five minute, it can be a bit annoying x.x. Of course it's ok to be random sometimes in #omnimaga, but it's best to keep it to a minimum.
