With TI leaving non-iPad users in the void (http://ourl.ca/18297) when it comes to emulating the TI-Nspire on their tablets and smartphones, ExtendeD has stepped up to offer a third-party alternative to Android users: a port of Goplat's Nspire-emu!
Of course it isn't available for download yet, but it is very promising and it should now allow a larger range of people to emulate their calculator on their mobile device!
And that isn't all: He also managed to get a wireless mouse to work on a real TI-Nspire Clickpad!
ExtendeD will definitively never cease to amaze us! :)

That's basically what that thing is. Note the brand on the mouse, some stuffs (http://www.logitech.com/en-us/promotions/6072).
And the driver (http://ourl.ca/18757) seems to actually work with multiple devices at the same time, I had a mouse and keyboard working fine together ;D

Great, my phone's screen is 320x240 too, so that should work perfectly fine :)

as it looks like to run in the browser, will it be able to run on Windows Phone and Ubuntu Phone and iOS?

Jokes aside, if this ever comes out, I'd be glad to have an offline version since my Android device is almost never connected to the internet (in other words, it is not a phone).

Not that we care about the new stupid, unenforceable rules which are probably illegal in some countries.

When I saw the video I thought it was an online emulator that he accessed on the web. This seems pretty cool.
If anyone needs help testing I can probably test things out.

This was an experiment not really meant for public announcement. I'm not actively working on the project at the moment.

Cool to hear. By the way what kind of phone processor/RAM minimum requirement would this emulator need? Would it run fine on a 600 MHz CPU?

Unfortunately not, for several reasons (hosting costs, possible competitor of OS 3.5 for Android, too many ongoing projects, ...).

I'm not convinced that a no-fee competitor to TI's rumored offerings which haven't materialized (yet, despite the clear dominance, in smartphone sales and nowadays in tablet sales, of Android), is much of a problem.
But the other points are more salient, indeed...

We do not know. Right now, they're observing how the [teacher, mainly] community responds to the iPad app release and how much they would also like an Android app.
It'd probably be the same price.

The TI-Nspire iPad app is among the expensive iPad apps (and the iPad is overly expensive in itself). However, the Nspire iPad app is far less expensive than a real Nspire calculator.

Soon after the release, during the T3 conference, the price got temporarily lowered to $5 though.

Why do they offer a non-Cas for the same price o.O But when do we have to expect the app for android because I have no apple. I think they should give it free if you already have the TI Nspire Handhleld.

Don't forget firebird, which supports ARMv5 and ARMv7 on Android and iOS natively and does not have problems with higher screen resolutions.

An "Eternity" is longer for Open Source projects than an "Eternity" for proprietary software, like kArmTI and Nspiroid are. Being proprietary is also the reason why the "Continued Effort and Dedicated Work" on the TI-Nspire platform is necessary in the first place.

@Adriweb Wow, that's completely uncalled for and rude. If you have such a suspicion, you can easily pm and Admin or moderator. However, I don't think that's even the case here.
@Vogtinator : I understand yours and other's viewpoints on the closed source nature of SpiroH's emulators, but that is his choice.

It's the choice of words that fit what I (and others) had in mind. It's not [meant to be] rude, but I'm just stating the facts as I'm seeing them.
Regarding the "bot-ness", it's with the random capital letters and brackets, and regarding the "bigotedness", it's the overwhelming usage of superlatives and some specific adjectives. He could have talked about anyone else, I'd have said the same thing.

At the time of my Original post ( Aug 24 ), I was still unaware of another Fully working Android [ ARM ] Platform TI-Nspire Emulator like the ( now ) Well established [ Firebird ] by @Vogtinator at [ https://github.com/nspire-emus/firebird/releases (https://github.com/nspire-emus/firebird/releases) ], ( originally announced on omnimaga.org at [ https://www.omnimaga.org/ti-nspire-projects/new-ti-nspire-emulator/ (https://www.omnimaga.org/ti-nspire-projects/new-ti-nspire-emulator/) ] ), and for such the [ Nspiroid ] Project [ https://www.omnimaga.org/ti-nspire-projects/nspiroid-ti-nspire-emulator-on-android-(zenfone-5)/30/ (https://www.omnimaga.org/ti-nspire-projects/nspiroid-ti-nspire-emulator-on-android-(zenfone-5)/30/) ] by [ SpiroH ] at that time seemed to Me the very First TI-Nspire running emulator for [ ARM ] architecture ( which I could install on my devices ).
I did not meant to diminish ( nor enlarge ) the Valuable work of Any author ( in detriment of Others ) at all ! since as I've have already stated, [ Any ] work towards providing Improvments on the Calculator Arena is a [ More ] Than Well Expected contribution, specially Emulators, since they represent a [ Definitive ] step taken forward, as Hardware inevitably will have a finite production cycle, but the Emulated Software may be futurely Ported to many other architectures ( perpetuating the "species" long after the original Calculators were not physically available anymore ).
I've have been Captivated by Calculators, since 13 years old, and on such long road have been the Proud owner of many Gems from Texas and HP like TI-59, HP-67, HP-41C, TI-89, HP-50g and now TI-Nspire and HP-Prime, to name a few.
All such models have allowed me uncountable hours of mathematical discoveries and insights which if I had not one of them available at the right time, such math relationships could have been missed at all ...
Most of the vintage code written for such old models, would be simply Lost, if Brave and Dedicated Developers did not invest their precious time in providing Emulators ...
My original post had the sole intention of [ Inform ] others of the existence of Another piece of software which at that time might be unaware by some potential interested users.
I did not had the intention to Promote ( or "merchandise" ) any ( open or closed ) software in detriment of others, since by my very first days in the Calculator arena, I have been completely Open to Any and All directions related to the improvement of Portable Calculation abilities, from any manufacturer or software developer.
The main ( original ) purpose of the Web ( as idealised by Lee ) was to provide an open platform to [ Inform ] and make information Freely available to All ...
I do express my Apologies if my original ( Aug 24 ) Post sounded Biased towards one specific piece of valuable work, in spite of the Hole Constellation of Many other Shinning contributions ( which stone by stone, have been providing Calculators a more than revigorated and extended life spam, now with the advent of New portable devices like Tablets and Smartphones ).
I would also let the Moderator free to Remove this or any Past posting comments I had provided with the sole purpose of providing interesting New Information to potential others, since at Aug 24, Nspiroid for Android [ ARM ] platform had just been released ( while the Nspiroid Android [ x86 ] Project had been arround for a much more longer time, as were the [ nspire_emu-qt ] Project so called at that time and which have now finally turned into [ Firebird ] ).
Surelly, now knowing of the existence of [ Firebird ] and specially on such vast array of architectures, I will certainly not only Install it, but futurely Indicate and Recommend it to many Potential interested colleagues and students.

It's interesting to note that [ Giac ] by Parisse is also the choosen CAS adopted by HP-Prime, which unfortunately have opted to Not Fully port it to Prime, leaving the [ Longfloat ] library aside...
Thus [ KhiCAS ] allows TI-Nspire ( CAS or Non CAS ) to become the very first [ Calculator ] not only having More then one CAS system, but also the First one with Arbitrary Precision Floating Point ability, which were only originally available ( from the same author ) on Android ARM architectures by means of the [ XCAS Pad ] Package, and similar others like Maxima for Android.
Its surelly a more than a bit "Dated" information, but some Potential TI-Nspire for Android Emulator seeker which may reach this Post ( by googling just for Nspire Android Emulators ), may be still unaware of the [ KhiCAS ] Project at all.
Once more my apologies for such Long posting ( which I hope may be not end up as a complete waste of others time ).
