Title: Upcoming short downtime
Post by: DJ Omnimaga on February 21, 2012, 08:55:46 pm
There will be some downtimes in the next few minutes, as Netham45 will try to install an update that will cause the site to go down in a few minutes, and this will last around 15 minutes.

There are normally 99% chances that this update goes through well and that downtime won't last any longer than expected, but since Netham45 is the one doing the update, then chances might drop around 50%. :P

Also some Omnimaga features such as the Radio, Omninet, the URL shorterner and the Comprehensive getkeyr table might not be functionning correctly right now, due to an extended downtime on Juju's server. The source of that downtime is unknown and it is not supposed to be related to the entire site downtime this morning, but hopefully it should be resolved soon, while hoping no data was lost on hosted accounts and features hosted there.

For my server, more news at or around 3AM EST, hopefully. Also the getkeyr table is now hosted at Omnimaga.

Oh I thought it was on your server, still. I know the keys are still hosted on Critor's Free.fr webspace (I think you should ask if you can move them, since it's really slow XD)

Ah, so it's version SMF 1.1.16 now. Hmm critical security patches I see. http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?P=a0692129748fa587d2f15ee5eda74831&topic=463103.0
Is this right? Cuz the update's from last year.

Good to see it's back up now. I love Omnimaga.

We didn't update SMF. We updated the server itself.

Not sure if this is from before the update, but none of the subdomains seem to be working.

Actually axe.omnimaga.org works fine for me. I know the Wiki isn't supposed to be working because it's hosted on 57o9, which is gone, so wiki.axe.omnimaga.org is down.

However asmtools.omnimaga.org is down right now.

Your isp's DNS cache probably hadn't updated yet.

But it has been 6 months since the domain isn't working O.O

So it's probably from before the update.
And yeah, oops about the update.

I was talking to DT about the subdomains.

Oh ok I thought he meant those. I wonder which ones he mean in particular?

Yours works, Eeems, I'm not sure about other ones.

axe.omnimaga.org is up because it points on Omnimaga, which is up, unlike wiki.axe.omnimaga.org.

Yeah I didn't mention that one because DJ_O had already mentioned it a few posts above: http://ourl.ca/15283/286689

So I meant about other sub-domains besides axe.omnimaga.org.
And the wiki works too!

And they're all back up because your server's back up! :w00t:

So all's well that ends well.
For now! ;)
