I think they should add a word filter in the profanity filter that changes every www.unitedti.org links to www.unitedti.org/forums

I am unsure but my guess is that they'll probably put something at www.unitedti.org like a portal. 3 years ago they were talking about an upcoming site upgrade.

I request already like I did in MC forums. Maybe I should PM Weregoose too.

Anyway the post declined a bit. Because of the down or not, we can't know for sure.

Yeah I think it will take a few weeks before it picks up again. This happened twice to Cemetech and they permanently lost thousands of posts and the few weeks after, they barely had anymore posts. A few weeks later, activity started picking up again.

The thing is that when stuff like this happens, sometimes people gets the feeling the site might be gone for good because this happened so many times in the past. An example is Calcware in 2004 (a TI-89 site). One day they replaced the site with a "we're working on a new site, it should be up soon." page, yet the new site never happened.

I am also somewhat glad in early 2008 I backed up everything I had from my omnimaga.united.org subdomain (since I used to be UTI members, then later UTI Supporters), because after my ban they disabled my access to it and I think only like 2 months before, I backed everything up on my 1and1 hosting. It only contained screenshots and images from the old Omnimaga website from 2005, though

You were banned from UTI?
Title: Re: UTI back up

Well, I think I am still banned. That's what Weregoose said on TI-BD last summer, altough I recall having been banned for two weeks the last time after I got in an argument with him and blew up (Summer 2008). 2 weeks or not, I never bothered to sign up again afterward, though, and I eventually lost my password.

Not that I would really want to post again, though, I would probably get into arguments with some of the people there (due to their behaviour, which somehow slowly became slightly similar to Kllrnohj since 2008 ended). I also left TI|BD last summer because most UTI people I don't like also go there now (and are admins). All I can say is that there are several things some people said on UTI that if they said them on Omnimaga they would have got banned very fast (that includes Weregoose himself)

Also I think I am not really alone who is concerned about the behaviour of some people there. Have you noticed how some people seems to have nearly migrated over here in the past year, or people who went to other places, announcing their projects, but not staying there?

I feel myself migrating over here form UTI. This site has a lot more going on and almost everyone is friendlier.  There are still some great people on UTI though.

True, and some cool projects. I am still anxiously waiting for Digitan to release a new version of Robot War compatible either with the TI-82 under ROM 19.0 or in 83+ APP, plus Robot War 2. That Strategy game also looks interesting

Yes, SAD (Seek and Destroy) is an awesome project by Hot Dog that looks very cool. It is an asm RTS.

I can't wait to play the Robot Wars. :)

Yeah, those projects, along with sonic, and XOS are what is keeping me on UTI

To be fair I'm not really looking at Sonic forum, really, I pretty much ignored it since late 2005. It never seemed to go anywhere further than sprite designing since then and it always seems to die since 2003

Yeah it did die, but they are working on it again, somewhat

True, but I visited UTI almost since the beginning and it has been the same thing for the past 6 years x.x hopefully it might live this time but I kind of have doubts.

Unfortunatly, there arn't many basic projects at all. The only ones are Pokemon Ti and Pokemon Purple.

There's also Metagross's and AMKiller, altough the later hasn't been updated in a while

I think there was another Pokémon project too, but it seemed fake

Here's what I found.
Pokemon Ti: http://www.unitedti.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=9081&hl=pokemon
AMKiller's: http://www.unitedti.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=8659&hl=pokemon
Pokemon Purple: http://www.unitedti.org/forum/index.php?showforum=60
And this one, which I think is no longer being worked on.
Pokemon Black: http://www.unitedti.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=8119&hl=pokemon

Mhmm wait after further search, it's Finale TI project that seemed fake at first. People started being suspicious I think, thinking it doesn't even exist at all, then it seemed weird that both his calc and computer crashes at once, right after ppl started questioning him if the project is fake or not. Then it died, but it appears to have revived now, which is why I got confused (I was certain the first one would never get completed and I was sure it was a different person. I don't visit UTI very often x.x)

Hmm...

I can't get to UTI.  Is it just me?

I can get on board index, but any link I click there fails

Also since I cannot post on UTI, I am gonna reply to IRC problems there. Those who want to go to #unitedti have to use netham45.dragon-fire.org now (altough netham45.org works too) to get on, because it seems the server move caused IRC support to be dropped completly so the only Dragon-Fire server is Netham's now

Yeah I noticed the same thing, hope they fix it soon!
