United-TI is currently down due to a server change.
Server change in progress. Please come back later
From Summer 2008 to Summer 2009, United-TI has seen more and more downtimes and the website was very hard to access at 3 AM GMT-5 due to extremly slow loading speed at this hour. Hopefully, the new server should fix this. Hopefully it will be avaliable again soon.
Update: it seems that UTI is doing some shifting around on the site. The forum has been relocated to http://unitedti.org/forum/
the forum was offline due to some problems with lost posts, and when I tried to connect to it recently this message was givenIPS Driver Error
There appears to be an error with the database.

Mhmm I guess that might be good in some ways. Last year until this summer, there were more and more downtimes. Site was also very slow around 3 AM of my time, making it very hard to access for Europeans during morning.
I hope they won't lose a bunch of posts like the last time they switched in 2005 and that the new server will be more stable, though x.x

I'm glad there's somwhere else I can come. (Wow, just 10 days.) :)
-
10 days? what do you mean? I did not see anywhere stating how long UTI would be down
-
I don't remember problems in loading to UTI forums...
But I rarely visit in the mornings.
-
There used to be a lot of days where it was down for like 12-24 hours. I think you were less active during the peak of it, though. That said, it was far less bad than what happened from November to December 2004, though.

Sorry, I didn't mean it like that. I meant I'd been here for 10 days. :)
UTI was still up at about 8:00 last night, but today I havn't been able to get on at all.
-
Oh lol ok. You've been around for a bit longer than 10 days, though.
-
Okay, 16. I guessed without checking...
-
Lol.
Actually it was still up at around 11pm my time...I hope they don't lose posts
-
Yeah, back in 2005, the server move caused database to corrupt, somewhat, and they lost like 10000 posts I think. That happened to Cemetech too twice, altough not because of server move. More a server crash/hack. TIMGUL database corrupted in June during a SMF upgrade from 2.0 RC1 to RC1.1 and it took one month to get fixed, and we lost about 3 months of posts.
-
I hope UTI dosn't lose posts.
-
me neither, For me (or what ive seen so far), UTI has been really active. =D
-
If it won't stay down for very long (a day or two) and doesn't lose load of recent posts, I think they should pick up again very easily. Last night there were like 20 active topics in the past 24 hours, if not more.
-
Yeah, i was amazed. and hopefully it goes smoothly.
-
wow didnt know that and yeah hopefully it will e faster XD
-
Well it's back up at the URL http://Unitedti.org/forum
-
There appears to be lot of missing posts, like last time, though. Hopefully maybe they'll be restored soon. If you click some recently updated threads, the latest posts will sometimes be from last summer
-
Hmmm, I can't get passed the log in screen... ;D
-
It seems that they have shut the board down until they have fixed the lost posts issue.
-
Yeah, hopefully they can resolve it soon. I am glad it is being resolved, though. I was a bit worried at first, considering both AlienCC and NETWizz seems to have faded away from the TI scene for a long while.
-
Yeah :/ hopefully soon
I just updated the first post with the most current situation.
-
Now it,s back to server change in progress message.
Could they be trying to move back to the old server? We never know, maybe the OS or hardware won't support IPB or something x.x
I remember when they originally moved in 2006 the second time, IRC started to act all glitchy

UTI is supposed to be switching domain name registrars at the moment. However it seems to be taking kinda long for the site to be back up, and shortly before the downtime, Netwizz seemed to be worried about the whole process taking longer than supposed to startup at all. I hope they did not get problems with their domain name x.x. I heard horror stories about domain names getting lost in the past. (They've been down for a bit over a day now, btw)
