"We are pleased to announce the first public beta testing of the ZetaBoards Service.

All visitors 13 years or older are welcome to join the test board at http://beta.zetaboards.com/test/

While you can visit the test board starting immediately, you will not be able to register your own personal test board for a few days. We will make a follow up announcement once registrations are ready to be tested.

We will be posting a summary of all ZetaBoards Service features at a later date. Features may still be added during the beta period. However, we will not be accepting any feature requests.

We ask all those who wish to join in the test to be respectful of others. Please read and follow all posted rules and announcements posted on the test board.

Feedback and bug reports will be very important to our final work and bringing the ZetaBoards Service to a full release."

Basically this is the new forum software that will replace the current stripped down version of IPB 1.3 final Invisionfree forums are using at the moment. For now you can register an account on the beta forum if you are 13 years old or older to see how it works so far or report bugs to the Invisionfree team. Hopefully this summer the final release will be out, so when I come back from my 5.5 months vacation (starting on feb 3rd 2007) I will upgrade Omnimaga to Zetaboards (unless the upgrade is automatic for all Invisionfree forums) and redo the CSS so the new forum look like the current Omnimaga as much as possible. Note that we are not gonna lose posts with the upgrade and your member account should remain intact, as everything that was in Invisionfree is alerady in the upgrade or will be in the upgrade.

Looks interesting. I might test them out, if I need to make a forum for one of my school clubs.

They said they were gonna post them in a week. So far it's hard to tell because they said they disabled some of them for testing atm, until they are sure it's ready for testing in public. Apparently there is massive improvement in the Admin CP though.
