anything that doesn't violate the rules and that can be done between 8x8 and 16x16 ( chosen such small size cuz otherwise ppl just rip off big pics)

Yes but it is so hard to make inovative 8x8 and 16x16 sprites at least it is for me and it doesn't leave for much creation

Maybe you shouldn't be doing this on a CALCULATOR website.

I was merely saying that because the requirements used to be 96x64 and this is a pixel art contest not a tile designer contest.

Imagine I was complaining that I couldn't use color in this contest. Then point out that calculators don't have color. It's exactly the same sentiment.

Well... If Kerm does not want to come up with the next one, here is an idea:

In BASIC, totally, no libs, making a "flickering candle flame"

Sprite can be any size, can also be just a "fire", but has to show motion

What do you think?

well i always liked smaller sprites, cuz last contests turned into ripping off of other ppl sprites :(sad.gif

Well anyway next contest theme: We draw threefingeredguy in 32x32 4 lv grayscale. Pwned

j/k forget it i am waiting until there is more activity on the forums (besides the recent news topic) cuz last time there was only one entry

Ahh... well, there would be no "ripping" per say, since it has to be all basic, no asm lib help...

I think I'm going to suggest a theme of 3D with 4-level max grayscale and max 32x32 dimensions.  I could have fun with that.

hmm well then srry

In a civilized way all I said above is that a calculator has a 96x64 lcd screen. The calculator does not have a color screen. So they are not the both setiment _3fg they are totally different

not now at least, considering the lack of interest toward pixel art recently in Omnimaga, maybe next spring I'll ask kerm about next idea and start a new contest
