Title: ReadMe Fights
Post by: Munchor on July 24, 2011, 10:06:38 am
As a judge, when trying all the entries, I noticed some fights for the best readme...

In fact, I think I'll even make a table for the best readmes. Some were very complex and very worked-on.

And then there's SirCmpwn XD How did you guys learn so much about the text editor width and all that fancy stuff?

So was mine. ;)  It should have been better, but I ran out of time...

Some of them had the editor width thing, which I had never seen. Others had wonderful ASCII art. That's what I'm referring too.

/me wrote mine not in one minute, but two...?

Personally I prefer not to go into the ascii art and stuff, normally I open a readme to figure out how to use something :P
I've drafted a few "MSD8X-friendly" readmes (because the new msd8x can only view the first graphscreen-sized page of a txt, which is about the second the second line of this post :/ ) which just jump right to the important parts.

The ASCII Art for the title is okay in my opinion, it actually looks good when it's good.

Best readme... that would be a nice category for the contest.

That would be cool. Perhaps a prize could be a userbar or something similar.

Hmm, this would be interesting to design a userbar for :P
Tho it would prolly be just lucida console on a white bg :P

Actually to tell you guys the truth in the email I sent Juju with my scores as judge, I included the best ReadMe "prize" in my opinion :P
