Title: Omnom Bug?
Post by: cooliojazz on December 27, 2012, 11:57:31 am
Ever since this morning, all OmnomIRC does is spam "[Invalid Date]   *   " with a blank message.  Is this a new bug, or is my browser somehow freaking out?

I saw that too, so I guess it's not your browser. sometimes it works fine though.

I wonder what caused the issue? I haven't ever seen that happen unless Netham45 or someone else is actually doing an OmnomIRC update.

Sorry. My backup daemon decided to sulk in a corner and cry after I disabled backups for it, and while doing so eat up all of my server's memory. (I disabled backups and removed them for the OmnomIRC server, since I've already made my own backups.) Lesson learned: JungleDisk (https://www.jungledisk.com/) is sloppy/apathetic with Linux stuff, they SUCK, and switch to another backup provider ASAP. :P

OmnomIRC should now be restored. You may need to refresh to see the chat again.

Maybe they're trying to get you to switch to Windows or Mac hosting?

Also I had no problem accessing Omnom at all. Maybe it only affected people who cleared their cache or that it was due to CloudFlare not updating in my region for a while?

Psh... Mac hosting doesn't exactly exist. For good reasons. ;)

But why does windows hosting still exist then?

There are a lot of windows only services that run out there. Also many companies only trust windows for some strange reason.

Such as that one father that thought Firefox was a virus and wouldn't even bother listening <_< (I think it was Ztrumpet's?)

I didn't feel like making a new topic so I just hijack this one :P

On OmnomIRC, using the scrollbar to go up (I mean, going back in time) works fine, but going down (getting back to the present) has some problems, the bar seems to randomly jump instead of simply going down.

Weird, I am using FireFox 27.0.1, and am currently seeing this problem on Windows 8 (not 8.1).
