Yes, the rumors are true!
I am adding gCn support to OmnomIRC!
so yeah, how to use it?
you can use it with the program chat!
So, as hub name you will have to put in the channel you wanne join (so far no matter what you put in you'll be at #omnimaga) and as server omnomirc.www.omnimaga.org
So far only sending messages is working, so stop complaining that you can't read what others are writing

However for the main Omnom I noticed it lags like crazy lately

That were during the times that the python server was running on the same one as omnomirc, right now i'm putting the gCn part on my server to reduce lags

big huge mega ultra super duper derping loosing game update!
it is supported now FULLY over gCn!
so, as server put in omnomirc.www.omnimaga.org
as hub put in the channel you wanne join (e.g. #omnimaga)

I will add later /join #chan so that you can join other channels without having to do some stuff on the pc

Thanks a lot!
I still have to add /join thought, and maybe real recieving of messages, by now it would bug if the calc sends more than one kb, lol, as i don't check if it's done recieving it (which won't be too hard)
Oh, and it'll default to #omnimaga if you put a invalid channel in there (not made yet)

on Windows I figured out that you have to use "#omnimaga" (with quotes) or else it will give you an error

That's not just windows. IRC Network channels are prefixed by #

I meant the quotes are necessary, with just #omnimaga (no quotes) you get an error for not having a valid argument

Ok, I added now the stuff I wanted to: you can join now any hub you want, if the channel is invalid you'll be defaulted to #omnimaga.
You can also /join #channel and then you'll join a other channel!

Well try implementing a usernames list other than the channel?

Also, make other calcs visible on the list!
Is it possible to join any channel whatsoever?

channels are only joinable if they exist in OmnomIRC, userlist on-calc I won't do as i can't modify the program on the calculator, adding calcs to the userlist is what i'm doing atm

Is it possible to go about finding an opensource IRC client and adding the code you wrote to support calcs and that way, visit any IRC channel?

the thing with visiting any irc channels is that there must be a bot that will auto-join channels then and many channels don't like such stuff, so no.
