Title: Sub-domain
Post by: DJ Omnimaga on August 10, 2010, 01:59:13 pm
In 30 minutes, this set of sub-forums will be also available from http://otcalc.omnimaga.org . It's a quite hackish redirect, due to 1and1 not supporting the ? char in their sub-domain redirect service, so I did a HTML redirect of my own, but it should do the job for those who have redirect enabled. It's the same type of redirect used for Axe Parser sub-forum, so when landing here, the URL changes back to http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?board=118.0 . It should make it a bit easier for people to access that sub-forum if they're outsiders happening to land on the wiki, though.

It works now.
Otcalc.omnimaga.org and otcalc.wikidot.com are operational.

why does the Axe parser one take longer than this one?

It doesn't. On my last request, otcalc took longer.

odd, when I goto otcalc, it doesn't even display the redirecting message like in Axe parser.

I'm not sure. I wonder if those domains are stored on the same server or something. Maybe the axe.omnimaga.org sub-domain is on a slower server.
