This is not an announcement of a new project. It is simply a suggestion for a port of a really cool game. I would do it when I finish Imagination Quest, but I don't really have enough experience with Axe (and absolutely none in ASM), so I won't be working on this.
Anywho, the game is an online game called Exit Path, which can be found here (http://armorgames.com/play/5917/exit-path).
It is a very fun platformer game, but can be quite difficult at times. (I've beaten it twice, though. :P)
It looks reasonable enough to be able to be ported, and I just wanted to let anyone with enough time/experience know about it.

love the idea

I really like the idea.
I played through the game, and it took me 27 and a half minutes. It's awesome. I wonder if it could accurately be replicated on the calc though. :)
Really cool game though. ;D
-
this is freaking amazing. i got 16 min. pacing Okay. and then i tried again and got 7:45. "impressive time"
-
My high is 17 mins. The only thing I would worry about on-calc is the number of moving spike/wheel-of-death/laser things needed to be displayed at once. (Like the last screen for instance)
-
This would be nice. I didn't get past stage 13 tho x.x
-
WOW. My next project, screw Hyper-Generic Unnamed RPG.
-
Awesome. :)
I was just looking around some game sites and saw it.
My first reaction: This. Is. Awesome.
My second reaction: This is probably portable to calc!
EDIT: New best time: 10:57, "Powerwalker"
-
Yeah it would be awesome for calcs. Also while some levels are harder the game difficulty is not too high either, so it would have a bigger audience.
-
Actually, I'm cooling off on this idea: the amount of hazards on any given level is enormous and so much has to fit on a given screen that gfx would be hard.
-
Sorry to hear D:
What are you gonna work on now? (besides MFQT)
-
Looks awesome: I might pick it up if I need a break from A:Phoenix's battle engine. No promises though :P (also i'm really bad at it too so maybe coding it wouldn't be a good idea)
-

Mmm? Did I say "I give up?"
No.
JustCause doesn't give up.

Well you said you were cooling off on the idea and that it would be too hard, which implied you were giving up on it for at least the time being.

He doesn't let you down either. But does he run around and desert you?

Yea, probably should have been clearer there. I'll still take a crack at it.

:) No. No he does not.

If I was not leaving for work, I would be tempted to copy a certain HTML code from a PM I have in my inbox into this thread. :P

DJ Omni has a job! O_O *stunned that people on Omni exist outside of the Internet*
-
Go for it then. I'll stick to A:P
-
Lol lots of us have lives, i myself have a job currently

If you can do it I encourage you to, I likely won't start work until I finish MFQT/the various papers I have looming over me. And to be frank, I don't feel like working right now :) Thus no job, Builderboy. (that and my age: 15)

Hmmm...
I'd love to see a version of this game made someday. I'd do it it if I didn't have so many projects going on right now. ;D

Sadly when we have the appartment rent (even if just half of it), the bills, the food and stuff to pay, we have no choice :(
I admit, though, that even if I was rich, after a sabbatical I would be tempted to return to a small part time job, or I would have to keep myself busy doing random stuff, else I feel weird when not doing anything but sitting in front of the computer.
And lol Ztrumpet. :P

Has anyone tried the multiplayer on this? It's pretty awesome.

yep. and i'm a level 41 Grandmaster on it. whether you win or not is largely based on your connection speed, though. that and how many tricks you know.
-
There are a limited number of levels, though, so once you figure out how to do all of them, you can win a lot.
I'm only level 8, but I haven't played that much. I usually get second, sometimes 3rd or 1st.
