Title: Advanced Dialogs Pro
Post by: saubue on July 08, 2006, 05:38:00 am
Advanced Dialogs Pro is TIGCC library for creating grayscale user interfaces. It's in a very early state, but it's usable (although not very stable).
I would be happy if some TIGCC programmers would take a look at it and post their impressions either here or at the http://board.boolsoft.org.

The first version (0.1) and a screenshot are available http://www.boolsoft.org/board/viewtopic.php?t=41

that sound cool, do you think it could be used for making FInal Fantasy like RPG text boxes or custom boxes for RPGs? That would be cool for game design :)smile.gif

It can be used for such things, too, although you might want to modify the dialog drawing function or use your own one :)smile.gif

I think that there should be a password struct or something that lets you create password textboxes, so when you type, it shows asterisks instead of letters.

It looks good though :)smile.gif.  I'll be glad to help.

A password mode is already implemented (it's the attribute INPUT_AST for LineEdits). Its used in the example (from which I took the screenshot), too, but only when you turn the calc on again.

Do they use dialog syntax similar to the built in stuff?  I'm not fond of dialogs only because the syntax looks annoyingly complicated for something you can do yourself with a more simple look.
