I am working on some new spells for people to use in my RPG, the problem is that I have no ideas. Please help me if you can
I have:
Confuse
Poision
Paralyze

Spells that do damage.
Spells that make your next non-spell attack stronger.
Spells that do nothing but have freaking good animations.
What is your method for learning spells? With experience, or buying spellbooks, or other...
Spells that cancel out other spells.
Super Speller (little UTI joke)
Spells that forbid magic.
All powerful one hit magic attacks.
Want some that are more realistic? :D

Spells that get you the ell outta there
Spells that make the other guy into a migit :P
Spells that make you huge!
Spells that copy animations from the T14 Battle engine (because they pwn)
Spells that are stronger at certan times
Spells that make the other guy only cast spells
Spells that make the other guy not be able to do anything but try and run

Have an ultimate weapon in your game, and you can only use it after it is activated by a certain spell that can only be obtained through the harshest desert training...

I was thinking having the spells be in a diffrent program, what would be your guys opinion?

That is what I would do... I had a list going in the TI-City topic on my forum, with a bunch of spells... One of these days I will add them to the game... :D

1.) Have all values a spell can alter stored somewhere.
2.) Go through a long string that has all the effects of every spell, find the substring for your spell.
3.) Parse it it expr( and do all needed effects.
In simple terms, make a spell decoder. :)

Confuse:may confuse
Mirror:chance of reflecting the affects
Chrono Mirror: can reflect a spell and alow you to continue with another spell that is not chrono mirror
Mirror Prime:reflect your last turn as long as it wasn't a mirror move
Solari:burning light beam that may confuse
Vapor Burn:scald with boiling venom
Nitrius: increase all fire effects
Endotherm: increase all cold affects
Lazer:burning light beam
Sloth:make an enemy sleep
Tundra:Freeze a foe with ice
Arrow Rain:heavenly bows pour down their wrath
Seer: predict (choose) enemies next move and target
Chaos Temptest: may completely erradicate an enemy
Radiation Funnel:a whirlwind of enchanted radiation that corodes and weakens foes
etc.:makes more spells

ol, I need names for some spells. I hae what I want to do, but I suck at names. Here is what I need:
Fire Type
Water Type
Wind Type
Earth Type
Ice Type
Darkness Type
Also, if you want to add elements and a spell name, please do so

Names for specific spells, or names for those elements of spells?
If you need some inspiration, here are names I am using.
Fire: Horikil
Water: Aguanris
Earth: Gaan
Air: Reiishi
Healing: Auronus
Thunder: Tmirvikx
I shouldn't reveal everything yet... ;)

what do you mean. I have nothign 100% set on how I am going to do each spell, so I can move to do anything you come up with

Some More Spells:
Blood Let: Spill and bathe in an enemies fluids
Acrid Surge: Corode an enemy to lower defense
Vaporal Palpitation: Shadows slow and stuter the heartstrings
Wound Reverasal: All damage you've taken will be prevented, halfed and reversed upon your enemies
Suffer: A wound many times more than fatal is self inflicted, delayed death
Soul Striker: Haunt an enemy and crush them from inside
OverPurging: all poison is healed as well as a sizeable portion of blood
Blood Torrenter:A mass of death and blood shall swarm the flesh of an enemy (require blood sacrafice)
Seed Of Pain: A lethal growth of thorny bramble from mouth is summoned from within your gut to pierce your foes
