K, I might give that a shot, though having someone that speaks the french language fluently would be best... Maybe the guys at tibank that can speak both english and french would be willing to assist...

Ok, lessons 1 and 2 are available. Well, all the old ones are as well, though the previous and next links do not work right now for anything greater than lesson 2.

Take a look around, tell me what you think. :)smile.gif

And spelli, if you just want to put the translation in a txt, or even in a post here in this (or my forum for that matter), then feel free. Which ever would be easiest on you. :)smile.gif

I will see about fixing the Next contents previous stuff. :)smile.gif

And, well, I would like to ask another small favor. Could you do the symbol meaning, about, and index pages as well?? On the index page or the about page, I would like to put the "translated by" :)smile.gif

And yes, I translated that line with google, so I could make sure I knew what was going on. ;)wink.gif

Edit:

Or I can try to use google translator, and you could fix what ever is wrong with what it spits out, your choice. ;)wink.gif

Heh, that might work. I need one for German and Dutch though, to make it match. :Ptongue.gif (Meaning they need to be the same size... I have a small German banner for the TIGCC tutorials, but it is bigger than that one.. :/confused.gif

Well, for some shots, I have started putting the animated screenshot directly on the screen. This makes it easier so I don't have to worry about crappy still screens.

Also, once I get to lesson 10, I plan on packaging the tutorials for download on ticalc.org, and possibly on calcgames.org, if there is a section in the archives for tutorials.

I also need to check and see how the Dutch and German translations are coming along...

hehe, that would be nice. ;)wink.gif

Would you mind doing the index page next??

I am planning on making seperate links for the tutorials in the root basic directory, so could you translate:

Check out these tutorials for info on how to program your calculator in BASIC! This tutorial is more game oriented, from a beginners point of view.

Thank ye kindly. :)smile.gif

Adding to the command index page now, still have to add the links form the cindex page to lesson 3, and write in the definitions of the new commands for lesson 3.

lol, PTI is awesome, it uses the key board in the same manner that the calc uses. :Dbiggrin.gif An plus it helps that I do it 3-4 times before actually recording it. ;)wink.gif

And by your tone, I take it you like the screenshots? XDsmiley.gifXDsmiley.gif

Has anyone read through it to see if it made sense to them?? :)smile.gif

Oh yea, and the command index page was upgraded as well

short question: will all lessons be in the same folder as the english ones?

Cuz I just made the links to the pictures absolute, dunno why. And if they're gunna be in the same folder, I can just make them relative again.

ah nvm, I simply assume it's in the same folder.  relative paths.

Lesson 4 will probably not see too many changes... It seems fairly complete the way it is, I just need to add some screenshots, and the code definition box at the bottom, and it should be done...

I have giving some thought to removing all the still images on the tutorials page, and going with just the animated ones. What do you all think??
Title: TIFW tutorials
Post by: DJ Omnimaga on November 28, 2006, 05:37:00 am
it should be ok to me, and i would see them right away, much faster to read. Onlything is that i would remove them if u make a offline version of the tutorial so it wont make a too big file to download

keep animated ones for online version though :)smile.gif
