 since the old topic seems to have disappeared in the board moving I will repost my other screenies here. KermMartian designed the frog graphic for me. the title screen hasn't been added to the zip yet.

 everything is separated out.

Yeah, that is how I did it with MGP. About how many side quests (mini games) are going to be included?

3 currently (I think I will actually make another), plus all the battling.


basically you have to keep your frog well fed and growing and gain as many points as possible and fight other amphibians.

the stats you have are as follows:

hunger--this has a negative impact on your strength in battle
points--your score
level--this has a positice impact on your strength in battle
exp--regulates when you "level up"
health--if you run out of this you lose.

 yes, but they effect  your normal stats. for example catching flies decreases your hunger....

I knew you used CC, but yeah VTI is outdated...it was great before though. Have you tried PTI?

PTI has more accurate emulation than TilEm, but I prefer TilEm because it is more fully featured and will also work on things other than windows.

 HA! That's where you are wrong >.>, Timendus has a working "hub" for linking of 4 calcs which also can be any z80 model (atm it's just 73, 83/84 line, and soon more will be added) XDsmiley.gif

I started working on the save game file which is closely linked with battling.


a final note: the goal of the game will be to acquire as many points as possible. If you keep your frog alive for 9 years you win. Points are acquired based on things like how long your frog lives and how you do in the mini games. If you starve to death or get killed in battle you lose.

A high score table will be kept.

Very unique, but I didn't see it the same way as you have on the SS. The square that selects wasn't alligned correctly, not that it's a big deal. But the menu sliding was very cool.

Maybe. I have done an incredible amount of optimizing myself, and I kinda like it how it is. Shows what I can do. Of course, I will probably have him optimize it anyway for the final release after I get all the bugs out.
