I know I know probably nobody has it,but I found there was a demo at http://revsoft.org/spencer/ZELDA.8xp but after revsoft went down it isnt accessable, so if you think you might have it look around, otherwise it could be lost forever
-
From what I remember, that demo barely did anything much, because from anything Zelda-related I tried, I don't remember being able to actually walk around and stuff. I wonder if that wasn't the scrapped Mode 7 Zelda map style?
-
It was there for a while, but after SirCmpwn found it they took it down. Sorry!
-
Do you know for how long it was there?
-
dang i actually did have it once but its now LOOOONNGGG gone lol
-
Most likely some of the Revsoft staff have it. Hopefully Spencer will get around to finishing it someday. :)
-
Snake_X do you know how far it was into completion? Or is it the same demo I found once where you could do nothing?
-
Any demo is good, if you still have that demo a link would be nice
-
There were no public demos released. The only things released were for testing purposes to make sure that everything worked properly, and those were only give to a select few. There was one leaked once, but it was a very early demo that many things were broken in. It was respectfully deleted and not posted.
*Edit* If you're really curious about the project, <a href=http://revsoft.tifreakware.net>Revsoft</A> would probably be the best place to ask.
*Edit 2*: Although the demo in question (in the first post)was indeed in revsoft's group folder, it was inaccessible by normal forum members.

However, Spencer hasn't ever been to the new site, he and Jim e both seem to have disappeared with the old site. Btw, you can also use "revolutionsoftware.org".
-
I might have a few test releases laying around somewhere on older computers :) I hope so much that he will come back one day...
-
At least I am glad Spencer isn't the one running the new site, else I bet the same thing would happen again with the hosting and domain name x.x
As for how the demo was accessed I guess someone hacked the site or he guessed the URL and stuff. Also I wouldn't be surprised if there was a way to "bruteforce" website files locations automatically with softwares, for example by trying multiple URLs such as <siteurl of your choice>/admin/<filename of your choice> , then /private/, then /group/, and hundreds of possible locations for a site's private folder. Some sites do not always protect their files, after all (through CHMOD and stuff)

(I dont think anyone has a copy of a demo, except for those who have been given one.)
