i downloaded the Srcbird and the Flapbird program as well as the AlphaCS and zStart83 do i need to unarchive Srcbird and Flapbird or have them both archived and run the program through AlphaCS or zStart83? I haven't used this program I ususally use MirageOS to run my programs so I really don't knowYou have to run the program through AlphaCS, and it doesn't matter if it's archived or not. You don't need SRCBIRD on your calc (that's the Axe source), FLAPBIRD is the only file you need. But its possible (although I doubt it) that it won't work with AlphaCS because I haven't tested it on the 83. In that case it will work fine with Asm( from the homescreen or Mirage if you prefer it :)
I tried to program this the other day in calculus class - did a cursory Google search and was so surprised that someone pulled this off! I am now a big fan of your work. As an aspiring TI programmer, may I ask how you did this? My method of drawing lines and making them move across the screen did not go that well. Too slow, and difficult to make the bird fly across the screen simultaneouslyThank you very much ;D
Why anyone would want to play a crappy version of Jetpack Joyride with Mario tunnels is beyond me, but good work! You should be careful about how you word your posts, becuase that could be taken the wrong way by the author or other people of the program above.
ClrDraw, what shell did you compile it for ?It is noshell. Did it not work?
BTW, you are pro at that game. My high score was 4 until I Photoshopped it. XDLol, thanks!
That said, the title looks slightly questionable, since people often forget to put the l in Flappy. Not that it's intentional but that game is an easy target for parodies :P(http://i.imgur.com/9sEUW.png)
I am sorry 'Flappy Bird' users, 22 hours from now, I will take 'Flappy Bird' down. I cannot take this anymore. He is making more, but I doubt that any will become popular again. D:
Did you upload this to ticalc.org? This is gonna be big! :D
(And link profusely to omnimaga.org to generate tons of new users :P)
Tried it out and it's awesome. I won't miss flappy bird for the smartphones, though, because I don't have and never have had a smartphone :DHaha, you and me both.
Digression: You have 314 posts. I feel honored that you have pi for your post number, as it is part of my name!Lol, I didn't notice my 314th post either XD in honor of pi, here is a pi(e) graph:
I like this version better :DThanks, I do too! it's easier to see also with the bold lines.
I was going to do this project today, but now I saw this thread :PLol, at least you didn't see this thread after putting hours of work into programming it.
Congrats for getting featured on BoingBoing! Thanks ;D the number of views went up a bunch with that.

Did you make a video of gameplay yet? Put it on Youtube and you'll get famous! :D
I think only xLIB xLIB Revolution ever got featured there before and even then I was surprised. They didn't even feature Portal? Woah O.O no faith in humanity...
Actually, now that you mention it, maybe Portal was too, because it got featured on Reddit and several other news blogs. Omnimaga had like 2900 guests at once for a few hours and averaged at 500 or so for almost a week IIRC.Congrats for getting featured on BoingBoing! Thanks ;D the number of views went up a bunch with that.

But that's not a bad idea :) I might do that.QuoteI think only xLIB xLIB Revolution ever got featured there before and even then I was surprised. They didn't even feature Portal? Woah O.O no faith in humanity...
Note: a double return shouldn't cause this issue (or any really), so if your fix was to remove one, I don't think that actually fixed it. :PLol I didn't think so, but IDK what it could be other than that...? I guess I'm gonna have to spend some time going over my code.
I tried re-downloading the program, but I am still having the same problem. Also, the only key (other than clear) that works is the enter key, not the up or 2nd keys as the readme file said.Ah, that was only in the original. I changed it now. Let's hope I'm better at fixing readmes than I am my own code ;)
