I'm pretty impressed with it's speed

nice, did you tried  on calc, tho? some people speed up their screenshots to make the program looks faster than it is sometimes to increase their downloads. Still interesting, though, I haven't got to mess a lot with 3D

wow, that Can't be real time, no way...
"runs off to check"

No, its not :) its actually pretty poor of a 3D editing program.  The 3D isn't nearly as fast as in the screenshot.

I think I might just have to post a little review warning the innocent users of TiCalc ;)

well reviewing ticalc programs is actually a nice idea, so few people does that. However they take a long while to approve reviews

I just reviewed, but the sad thing is that since reviewing is so rare, no matter what the review says, the reviewed programs are often going to get more downloads than the non-reviewed

Maybe it should be a Omnimaga project to review as many files as possible :D

A good program anyway. It seems to do cool stuff.
But maybe I could optimize it for greater speed.

One day, I will rate and maybe review some parts of ticalc.

yeah true. People would really need to review every game. A massive reviewing run would be very good, but how long would ticalc take to approve all of them? Plus it would take a long while to try everything in the archives. Fortunately, though, having split the archives into more categories (TI-BASIC mostly) was a great move by ticalc.org)

ticalc should spend many time now doing a more automatic system. For taking so long, it seems all manual...

it is all manual...I think Nikky does it all himself...

Nah Duncan SMith (Chronomex on #TCPA and #Cemetech on Efnet) does the review approval. However he must fix spelling/grammar mistakes and edit out unnecessary/offensive parts and make sure the review adds anything and is worthy in overall

oh right, Nikky just does the file uploads

The reviews (like most of the other parts of the site) are automated, but Duncan for some reason has only been processing the reviews every few weeks. Maybe he's just been really busy lately.

People actually submit reviews fairly often (mostly for files that have recently been posted on the front page), but quite a few of them have to be rejected for various reasons, like they are so short that they contain really no useful information (e.g. "Cool game!" or "I never could get this to work, so it's of no use to me"), or they are actually problem reports or concerns that should have been emailed to Nikky or me to be fixed, or they were written by someone who couldn't RTFM, etc. I think Duncan does an excellent job filtering out the junk and extremely unfair reviews, though it's too bad he can't process them more often.

It's because he's just really lazy. :)

Actually, we had set this up to do on TIFW, and had done a number of files in the 68k asm section, however, it only lasted 6 weeks, as people stopped participating. I wouldn't mind setting it up again, as I believe the form and stuff we used is all there still..

What we did is all rated the program with our own accounts, and we had an account specifically for the review to be pasted with. I believe we also averaged out everyone's rating they gave the file, and that was what that account would rate the file at.
