is it possible for some on to get the source for mario 2.0 and upgrade it you know add new items, abilities, manuverablility, enemies to say to update as far as the series goes at least as far as the series goes on the 2d front.

I think the source was lost, because Sam Heald, the one who had it, dissapeared in the void

There might be a program on ticalc that extracts the source from a compiled assembly program, but I don't think it's perfect.

Dwedit had one on the old MaxCoderz forums but it did not worked right and the forum is down anyway now

did not worked for me, I got myriads of errors while disassembling

last time I tried to run the software it did not even run at all

Frontend needs something extra, which you can get http://www.ascentive.com/support/new/images/lib/COMDLG32.OCXif you do not have it...Works fine for me

, just place in the same folder as the frontend (disassembler).

oh i see thats why it didnt worked. I think he should have specified it in the readme or added the file with the disassembler

Well, he should have..but I am not sure what exactly would need to be installed in order to make it work (.NET etc?)..

Isn't Triplea working on a Mario anyway that's supposed to blow Sam Heald's Mario way out of the water? I saw the screenshot and it was pretty kick-a**... and now I need to find the screenshot again.

tr1p1ea is working on a Mario game which seems to have many RPG qualities (but is keeping it low key). I know a little more but I feel uncomfortable sharing it without his permision.
