Title: LEDs inside TI-30xIIs
Post by: Nathan Jahreis on June 19, 2012, 07:26:09 pm
Well I was bored today so I took apart my TI-30xIIs and to my surprise I found 2 LEDs inside!  I don't know if this is new to anyone but I was kinda thrown off.  One goes on and off with the calc and the other only turns on when the solar panel is working.

Maybe a debug led used to check with a probe during manufacturation if the calculator works ?

PS : I love the macro photo =)

I've always wondered what those things do. I'm glad you actually got them to turn on.

This bothered me bad enough that I actually asked it on yahoo answers lol. (Though I can't find the link :()

In other news, connecting a 9V battery to them makes them explode. The calculator still works though.
