Title: Round 2 : TRON (gifs ti-concours)

Hi,

I'll post here all the results concerning TI-Basic z80's TRONIAs.
You have to win 5 times in order to be the winner.


Here is the first one : mdr1 VS daemon2011 ; mdr1 wins 5 to 4. :D

(as you can see there is still a bug that I need to fix, at the end, but it doesn't change the final result, don't worry ;D )

It should be pretty simple to do it with the Gimp, even easier if they're not specified ;D
(I'd check, but I'm at school atm and the image was taking ages to download)

Edit2: Could the images be linked to rather than be put in img tags, btw?  Here at my school (and prolly others unfortunately) the internet's junk.. so an image that's ~13mb takes a few minutes to load and makes the computer slow down a lot. :/

It really, really slow down my browser. (And I have a good computer, so old ones might crash)

Wait, is round 2 a contest for who makes the best TRON AI game, or is it a gaming competition? I'm a bit confused since the scoring format above seems way different than the other round. ???

If you're running it in wabbit you can speed up the emulation so it goes faster.  Not sure if it changes the screenie, tho..

Edit: as far as I can tell, people try to make Tron AIs and they're pitted against each other.

You had to make an AI for TRON, and you have to win against other AIs in order to win points, that's it. But since I think you understand french you can look here -> http://ti-concours.com/tibasicz80/tour2/accueil.php

EDIT : that's what I am doing : 84+ SE, Speed = 400% of Maximal. But that doesn't change the screenies.

EDIT : linkakro wins 5-2.
by the way while my internet connexion problem I made several matches :

mdr1 wins 5-0 against Claros.
linkakro wins 5-1 against mdr1.
throthituthur wins 5-0 against somebody.

I think it works sometimes, it may depends of the theta value before you launch the program.

O.O I am lucky mine won o.o It just seeks out the opponent XD I didn't completely finish my AI, but it was supposed to cut them off (I didn't add the code to do that, so it just seeks them out).

I wouldn't be surprised if mine is the slowest AI in the entire competition. It's pretty heavy. I hope speed doesn't matter in our score XD Sorry!

Yes, it is. Even at 1600% speed (84+ SE) it takes 1 second to move one. XD

I'm now doing mdr1 VS Deep Thought (3-2 right now)

Could you make screenshots of every TI-Concours entry and put them on the pages where we can download the entries?

Also would it be possible to make a zip file where we can download every single entry in one click?

Concerning round 1 and 2 I think I can do a gamepack or a IA Pack, but concerning the screenshots... I'm not sure I'll have time. Anyway, I already did it for the 1st 2nd 3rd so...


Linkakro VS trotithutur : linkakro wins 5-4 O_o

I'm now doing linkakro VS TBO Yeong (3-1) and linkakro VS Deep Thought (1-4) -> I hope I'll time to finish... since I'm already late if I do not I'll cut the match in 2, and then there will be 2 screenshots.

I'll do so for mdr1 VS Deep Thought (3-2).

EDIT : I didn't have time...

Linkakro finally wins 5-1 against Yeong.
He looses 5-1 against Deep Thought. Thought it was quite interesting.

And what do you mean by 'zero44 (error)' ?
Did my program cause a TI-Basic error, and if so could you say me what and where ?

It was you against linkakro.
Error means that I had a "ERR : DOMAIN" because of your IA.
TI-Basic results will be published... today ! :D
