Title: TI-Nspire Prototypes
Post by: TheNlightenedOne on September 25, 2012, 05:56:21 pm
On EBay last night, I saw a TI-XXXXXXXXXXXXX CAS and a TI-Nspire+. The TI-XXXXXXXXXXXXX CAS is familiar to a degree, but the TI-Nspire+ is interesting to me. It appears to have a TI-Nspire CAS body and a dark grey TI-Nspire CAS+ removable keypad. Is the TI-Nspire+ familiar? I found it at http://www.ebay.com/itm/5-Texas-Instruments-TI-NSPIRE-CAS-Graphing-Calculators-NSPIRE-/251153358949

The TI-Nspire+ is probably a non-CAS version of the TI-Nspire CAS+.

Arg, I bidded for $260 but a calculator collecter (according to his bidding history) got them by sniping higher.... :(

Don't worry, we know the buyer (we'll probably be able to test it !) and you probably can know it too, just think about it ;)

Don't promise anything for now.

Yes, sorry, we can't be sure, but we'll try :)
Now that we know ho to dump them, it might even be more interesting with the 84 emulation if it's there !

Well no fears. That was Joerg from Datamath.org and I. we thought it was going to be for $90. We'll soon figure out what the heck this thing is though.

Yeah, if only I knew earlier, it would have avoided the $150 more for him ...
Better luck (&communication :P) next time.

Indeed we shall learn a lot more from these models soon :)

Before I even news about it, go discover the rare (and unknown up to now) TI-Nspire+ prototype.

Don't worry: image descriptions are available in both french and english.

I've now made my first news about the TI-Nspire+:
http://tiplanet.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=10675

I'm going to make other news focusing on its software and on its hardware.
So maybe, instead of newsing several times in a row about it, I'll just news on Omnimaga later.
But you are free to news about it if you think it's important. ;)

2nd news about the TI-Nspire+ OS:
http://tiplanet.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=10680#p131777

Version is 1.0.1.0.347T:
(http://tiplanet.org/forum/gallery/image.php?mode=medium&album_id=139&image_id=1618) (http://tiplanet.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=10680#p131777)

And strangely, it was flashed with a CAS+ OS:
(http://tiplanet.org/forum/gallery/image.php?mode=medium&album_id=139&image_id=1619) (http://tiplanet.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=10680#p131777)

Did you find the TI-Nspire CAS+ P1-EVT2 slow with 1min30s to turn it on?
The TI-Nspire+ P3-EVT2 is clearly worse! :P

Let's make some TI-Nspire+/Nspire CAS+ race! ;)
