Hi,
I have a major problem. :(
Everything begun as I tried to send the NyanCat-app to my calc... :-\
I'm not sure, but I think since I used the "nyanmem.8xp" to increase the free archieve memory, everything went wrong.
After I used it, I can't send any apps to my TI-84+ BE anymore. ??? Now I downgraded the TI-OS from 2.43 to 2.22 (because I haven't another OS on my PC) but after that, I can't connect my calc with my PC :'(
I tried to use TI Connect 1.6.1 instead of 1.5 and I also tried TIConnect X on a MacBook. But both doesn't work..
In addition I reseted all my memory many times... (After booting up with [clear] + [on])
What should I do now :'(
I hope you can help me because I don't know what might help. :'(

Which cable are you using ? I'd take it that you're using direct USB, since older versions have more trouble than newer versions with Direct USB.
-
I use a normal direct USB cable...

archive your stuff. Run a garbage collect. do a ram clear. Run a garbage collect. do a ram clear.
This usually works for me.
-
My calc is totally empty... I did several mem clears.
-
garbage collects though?
-
Instantly done, doesn't work.
-
So does it work now? Turn your calc on while holding the Del key and send a new OS using the OS downloader.
-
sorry man, no clue.
Don't worry too much though. I am one of the lesser experienced users here at Omnimaga. I am quite sure someone will come along soon and help.
Edit:see :)

TI connect finds my calc, but only if I press [del] an insert the batteries to send a new OS..
Now I send the 2.22 OS agian...
It still doesn't work.. :'(
-
Do you have the USB cable plugged into the calc BEFORE doing the Del trick? (And I meant to say batteries not on above, sorry about that)
If it is, test if windows can see it.

When I pull a battery, press [del] and while this put the battery back, it shows the screen that I should install a new OS. When I now plug in the USB cable, TI connect finds my TI, but I can only send a new OS.
ATM I send the 2.55MP OS...
EDIT:WTF?! IT WORKS with the 2.55MP!!

I think it's just that it didn't work with 2.22 because it was such a low OS version. I believe you'll want at least 2.30 for most compatibility.
Oh, or OS 0.46. ;D
-
lol, after that try to send a 2.43 OS, and you should be fine.
-
I would like to get my 2.43 back.. Is that possible? I haven't the .8xu file...

Yes. Download it and send it. Just google for a download link.

Thank you ;)

I know what happened, you didn't uninstall the old Nyan mem before you put the new one on. The old one changed the OS a little and that was what was causing all of your troubles. But since the new OS works, you're good to go.
-
I thought the Mem-clear do that...

You gotta' love Singapore.

Well, the my first version of NyanMem moved the swap sector, this involved modding the OS to look somewhere else. (Because people on IRC said you had to have one ;))
However, that is not the case, my newer version just deletes the swap sector so you can use it as variable storage. It will come back as soon as you do something flash related though.
What happened to you was that you ran the first one which modded your OS. Then you left it that way and ran the second one. The reason you can't receive apps is because your OS is still looking for the swap sector in a place that it's not. So run the original NyanMem again, uninstall it, and you'll be good as new.

After reinstalling the OS, everything is okay now...
