I remember guys repairng Game BOy with missing line by heating the (nappe?) sceen cable with a ironer. If you locate the good calbe, you could try heating it to make the contact again. |

So I tried reflowing some solder on the horizontal ribbon cable, but it did not affect it. Then I found out there was another cable going to the screen for the vertical lines. That must be it, but the way it is designed means I have to desolder the horizontal ribbon in order to get to the vertical one. |
