Yeah, the display function works great now... I might have to write up a tutorial on it. :)smile.gif

Now to just make the selection system work, which shouldn't be too hard...

So PP's item bag will be separated into pockets? Keep in mind they didn't do that until GSC: in RBY you had a max storage of 20.
One of these days I'll get a sig I'm really proud of.

Well, there are 29 normally used items, another 20 or so key items, and the few pokeballs. I didn't feel like messing with that, and you will only be able to get one line of items, with a max of 99.

And this adds something different that the older ones didn't have. :)smile.gif Kinda sets my game a lil further apart.

Well, the ROM on the web is around 700 KB I believe... (I dled it in a short time on dialup, so...) I will be leaving out the text that describes the Pokemon, since it never really added anything about the Pokemon to me...

Also, I have the items displayer to go through the pages without error for normal items, so the key items, Pokeballs, and TMs and Hms should be cake. I will just be a matter of doing some variable changing and calling that part of the program. ;)wink.gif

The bad news...

I will need to get all the Pokemon and their stats programmed into the game before I can fully test out the items system. And yes, I know, this totally bites. It maybe a month or two before I get to test the item system. :(sad.gif I will try to get it to select the other "pockets" before worrying about it, since that would simply leave me with just makin the selection and detection work.

Edit: Oh, and I am so writin up an advanced tutorial on this. This system would rock in RPGs. :D Would you like me to give an animated screenie of what is there thus far?

Yes, I would like an animated screenie myself, I am greatly interested in this project.  Is there no other way to test the item selection, like setting random values to the data temporarily?

I think between normal items, key items and Pokeballs, there are 56 different items. Then there are also 50 TMs and 6 HMs.

Unlikely, unless it's HM 09. In the newer versions there are eight.
