TI-Nspire / 4.x CAS on Non-CAS model
« on: March 12, 2017, 10:01:20 am »
Hi, I'm trying to figure out how I could load 4.x CAS OS on non-CAS model (HW-B).

I'm way past all classes requiring only non-CAS calculators. So its not for any exam cheating purposes. I actually own second nspire CAS (HW-J), that I use regularly. But I'd like to give my old calc to my friend, prefferably loaded with CAS recent version.

I've seen multiple hints that it is possible load it, while googling, but I've trouble finding propper tutorials.

Isn't the md5sum of the BIOS shown when launching gpSP with no BIOS? I think it will also warn if it looks like you got the prototype BIOS by accident.
thanks for the fast response. Yes that what I was looking for. I haven't launched the gpSP before so I didn't knew that it was already providing the checksum. Found the bios immediately :)

(just in case if someone else is going to look for it)

it would be awesome if someone could at least provide checksum of GBA BIOS. I don't think it's illegal to provide checksums of pirated content. Its easier to find right bios with checksum :).

General Calculator Help / Operating System not found.

Hello, I haven't used my nspire whole summer and when the school year started I started using it again(I had ndless installed before the summer). So I went to ndlessly website and I saw that there is GBA emulator which got me very excited. It told me that I had to upgrade ndless version. My way of upgrading it was to uninstall the current ndless and install the new one. After I installed I saw some apps in test folder, although the readme said to run them on emulator I ran them on my calc (thinking nothing could go wrong), then my calc just froze. I reseted it and then I got this nice screen:

Is it possible to fix it, and without upgrading it to 3.2? And if it's possible I would be really glad if someone could give me Nspire CX 3.1 OS file :).

You can also play quake with nDoom, but the graphics/engine are the same as doom.

It's doom mod, that's why it worked for nDoom. There I found more mods :), but not all works.
