Ideally it would be a method the calculator itself could use to check each program, if such a thing exists.

Good point... unfortunately I lack enough knowledge of Assembly to even be able to tell the difference :P

an app made with Axe has something to identify it because I had problems with that

Isn't that just the lack of a valid app signature?

Axe / Way to determine if an Assembly program was created from Axe source?
« on: February 25, 2011, 02:05:00 pm »
Does anyone know of any way to determine whether or not an Assembly program was compiled from an Axe source file rather than written directly in Assembly language? I was thinking that the compiler itself might leave some sort of identification or header on the compiled Assembly program, but I don't know of any for sure.

Webinstall is a PHP script that you can upload directly to the directory you want your forum to be located at and it automatically sets most everything up on its own (moving files into place, etc.) There's no equivalent for v2.0 as of yet, since - like with one-click installation - they're waiting on releasing that until 2.0 final is released.

It returns a 0 if the argument is not an integer, 1 if it is.

HTML posts are just ordinary posts with embedded HTML as an alternative or supplement to BBCode.

Another thing to remember about SMF 1.1.x is that you have access to the Webinstall script, which makes it way easier to install than through manual configuration like you're forced to do when installing 2.0.

I've actually tried both and found that SMF's admin panel is far more user-friendly. SMF also emphasizes making it easy to install mods, giving you way more access to new features that aren't part of the base software. In addition, 2.0 has some cool new features, including sub-accounts.

I like the small bouncing effect when you land after a jump. Seems like stuff like that goes a long way towards making the physics more believable.

Too bad that you're retiring... you've always run things well here in the past, but if it's getting to be too much I can understand that. Hope you have better luck with your IRL issues in the future.

That's an interesting trick... never thought of that. I just indent in order to keep track of blocks when programming on-calc.

It's good that this is still being worked on. I've been looking forward to it for a long time, not least for the intention of it being moddable.

Yes! That would make so many things so much simpler to do.

Started wandering around the hospital after the intro sequence. I'm pretty sure I figured out what to do next, but I was called away and don't want to get too involved because I might have to leave again at any time. Tomorrow I'll devote some time to playing the whole thing through and seeing where the story goes from there.
